JP's Biere de Mars

Still hasn't come out, I've been asking.

I don't think they have said anything about another Grand Reserve release. It would be great if they did. All the GR bottles have been pub only releases.

 

Last year they released the Biere de Mars Grand Reserve the day after Dark Lord Day and it sold out around 1 PM ish. Prior to that I think the last release was March of 2011? Regular Biere de Mars should start showing up in the next couple weeks if I had to guess.

 

Michigan distro should be next week, the distributor has received kegs but no bottles yet. Gonna be small though

 

On the GR, Ron told me that he does not believe it will be coming out and that they have a few cases more reserved for our rare beer auction.

 

rare beer auction is too rich for my blood.


Single bottles for $200+ is more than I can handle.

 

The A2 cafe should have reg BDM bottles avail tomorrow Ive heard from a reliable source...the initial date was today though so who the hell knows...it will be here soon regardless...

 

So that I don't have to dig up the old thread, they never did release Sobrehumano GR, correct?

 

They have not. Supposedly it is not going to be release and used at festivals only. Remember a tweet that said it only yielded 42 cases.

 

Ok thanks. Sad that the one store in Chicagoland that still had some (at almost $24 a bottle, yes for the regular) finally sold out. It was the nice occasional 'treat' pick up and I had no self-control to cellar any.

 

I still have 10 left from last year.

Anyone know why JP hasn't released any GR bottles in so long? Wasn't there a batch of something that was bottled recently?

 

If im not mistaken Biere de Mars GR was released last year..

@tommyz It's going on tap ofter Sinuous blows. Later tonight or tomorrow. Bottles available then, too.

 

I was there around 11 last night, wasn't on yet. Hopefully today sometime.

 

I was there for brunch and had 2 sinuous to help get BDM out quicker. It might be on tonight, but so far its a no-go.

 

they just posted on their FB page its avialable in bottles in A2

 

On tap and bottles avail...more tart than prev years...very nice...new batch of La Roja and Oro on as well...
