Despite being told previously that they didn't think it was coming to Wisconsin at all this year I found Juliet on the shelf a few minutes ago in Madison. Now me drinking a bottle in an Illinois bar last week was a bad choice, I could have had a Sucaba instead.
It's still all over the shelves in IL apparently. I was at a store in the south loop with 2 cases left (albeit at 21/btl)
I was surprised with how long it took to get to Wisconsin. The two Binny's I stopped at (West Suburbs) were out last week, probably a good thing since I paid $15 here.
Bought a bottle today, hope it was worth it, had a sample at Great Taste of the Midwest a few years back.
Meh. it's good. not up to par with the madness of most GI's limited releases IMO. Juliet and Madame Rose are the better of the series (i think i liked Rose most if memory serves). Just dont sit on it for more than a yearish
for the Chicagoans, Binny's in LP had quite a bit of it when I was there over the weekend. personally, I love Juliet, and it gets better with age. all of the GI sours do in my opinion. a fresh batch of Lolita is not nearly as sour, but it improves greatyly with a couple years age on it. can't wait for the new batch of MR, and really hoping that Scarlett gets bottled at some point.
I grabbed 2 at McFarland Liquors on Saturday for $15 each. Passed up on them several times at $22 each so glad I got them now
