I will be in OKC (Edmond) the week of July 4th,I was wondering where I could go for bottles or good beers on tap. Also is there any more news on PAA taproom that is being built. I would be up for some IP trades as well.
Bars: The Patriarch (48 taps, a few bottles, food trucks, and a decent sized yard out back) Skinny Slims (English pub, 16 taps, cooler with bottles, good food, and a few pub games) **Note: I would watch a couple rounds of dice, before you decide whether or not to get involved in that game. Shops: 2nd Street Liquor (usually a decent selection) Breweries: None in Edmond, but check out what Twisted Spike, Elk Valley, RoughTail, COOP, & Anthem have to offer and pick where to go from there. Haven't heard anything lately about the progress for the PAA taproom downtown.
If you've got time and don't mind making the trip to midtown/downtown OKC. I'd check out: McNellie's or Tapwerks for beer selection ( both have 350+ beers), Fassler Hall (German-style bier hall about a 100yds from McNellie's), or Blue Garten for food trucks and a hand-full of beers. The Plaza District (16th between Blackwelder & Indiana) has Oak & Ore which usually gets some of the more limited stuff that comes into the state on draft, but I try and avoid that area like the plague because parking is fucking terrible and it's the hipster mecca.
