Medusa has a solid tap list this week. Big variety of hoppy offerings and otherwise. Plus you can bring your own food. I would grab a pizza or sandwich from the Rail Trail down the street or better yet hit them up do for a pint. Excellent beer selection there always.

This might be too far away from you (hour and fourty five minutes) but Stubborn Beauty in CT makes fantastic beers. If possible, I would highly recommend hitting them up along with Steady Habit.

Thanks for the great ideas guys. I think I'm down to two:

    1. Start at Beer'd, swing by RI spots, Grey Sail, Tilted Barn, maybe Proclamation on the return. I like that some of these places have bottles/cans, which I'd value more than growlers.

    2. Medusa, Cold Harbor, Julios. Since I work in Hopkinton, this is certainly already my "home patch".

Ravenous is so close to my house (about 10 minutes) I can go anytime.

First things first, with no wife or kids, enjoy some peace and quiet on the throne reading BA or whatever without someone trying to come in every minute or yelling your name.

From there I suggest doing something productive around the house that you can point out to your wife upon her return so she doesn't think you drank all day/night. Something easy but visible, let's not over due it.

Then on to the good stuff.

Another vote for Medusa here. Grab some lunch and bring it there and have a beer or 2, grab a growler for future consumption. Plenty of food options in th area, Railtrail, Feng Sushi, Horseshoe Pub, TC Landos. Or make a pit stop first at the VINBIN in Marlborough, grab a sandwhich there, they have some decent bottles as well to check out.

After Medusa head to Julios to browse/buy and take a break from actual drinking.

Hit Cold Harbor for a pint and a growler on the way back to Franklin.

Sit in your house in silence and decide which growler to break open.

Just a heads up that although they put out a lot of cans for distro, I don't believe Grey Sail sells cans from the brewery (just growler fills). That said, I think they fill any brewery's growler. Proclamation will usually have bottles of Derivative variants for sale in the tap room.

Sunday I'm going to stain my deck (barring rain) ...so that's the productivity covered. :sunglasses: Whatever beer I get Saturday may be my reward when I'm done.

Saturday I've got a graduation party across the street at around 5-6 PM, so I may bring a growler over there to share with some neighbors, while I eat the free food.

That's good to know. If I go the CT/RI route, I'll leave early enough to hit CT liquor stores before heading to Beer'd. That's part of the appeal, the possibility to grab stuff not on distro here, including NEBCO perhaps, and Captain's Daughter. If anyone knows any good shops near Beer'd that would help.

    This is the correct answer.

While a bit out of the way, Jamestown Liquors had about a dozen cases of Captains Daughter last weekend. Canning dates varied from 4/8 - 5/26. You have to look around though, it appeared the young man running the register wasn't in tune with freshness and the cans which were in the cooler were dated 4/8.

Heard great things about Medusa in Hudson. Want to check it out myself soon.
