I wasn't quick enough to get tickets online for this. Site says they sold out of 1,500 online & will have 1,500 at the door. Anyone gone to this before? They recommend getting there early, but how early to get a ticket?!?! Thanks in advance!

I have gone the last 3 years. I would get there early as the lines are huge to get in. I have always got the pre sales but I usually get there an hour before and the lines to buy tickets that day are long. The good news is the party on the line usually rages pretty good so you wont be bored. I have never heard anyone got shut out but you will wait awhile. Maybe someone else can chime in on how early exactly. Its a great festival though..beer is great and the people in attendance are all cool..we always have a great time.

The buying line gets huge early. I showed up at 11:30 last year (with a ticket) and the buying line was at least 300 - 400 wrapping around multiple corners.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I'll plan to arrive about 10:30 then with some beers & home roasted coffee to share. Cheers!

No taplist, just a participant list on the festival's website, which is "subject to change". But I doubt you'll be disappointed, the JCBF rocks. +1 on the other comments, do get there early, since the lines are long, 'specially if you're buying. there. But the lines are fun.

When you get in check the brewers to see what time some of them tap certain beer. The Funky Buddha always has a board and announces what time their special beer is tapped. This will help you move over to that area if you see something you want like Maple Bacon. Its gets crazy around some tents. A few brewers do the same thing so I would grab a beer at whatever tent 1 is and then just walk around and see what time things hit and plan accordingly. Have fun. Be ready to be jostled around a bit as the tents are in close quarters. Some decent eats there as well. When you have had a few (or more importantly when others have) amble over to the silent disco area and watch...its damn funny.

I bought tickets at the door a few years back, it was a little interesting to see people tailgating in line. We got there around 930 and were about 30 people back. My advice is go early, and if the line doesn't look bad, walk down the street and grab some breakfast.

LOL, went by Funky Buddha's stand last year and the board said they were tapping the Maple Bacon at 3 pm. At 2:40 I was maybe 40 deep with another hundred at least behind me, and we were all getting feisty. Did get one sample and went back to the end of the line, but they tapped out before I could get a second go. Probably the same thing again this year, so if it's posted, better claim your spot in line early. Hell. just get there early for the fun of it all and to plot out your order of stops.

Bought my ticket early this year. Trying to remember if they let the line with tickets in earlier than the buy line?

@MikeMoriendi one case of bottles for sale or pour?
