Just getting into trading

    Hello BA!

    I have just started getting into trading (I started small and I just made my first big trade the other day. 3 total) but I just wanted to see if anyone had any advice that isn't found on the new traders forum? I am living in Mississippi which isn't known to well for it's beer (which really sucks). So I am really hoping to just be able to get some stuff that I can't find in MS which is pretty much everything! ha!

    Another good way to try new beers is see if there are bottle shares near you. You can take along a bottle or two, like the Blueberry Ale in your avatar and share that with what others bring along. There is a BA in Mississippi that posts a lot in the "What beer are you drinking now..." threads with really nice photos and custom made bottle openers. He might be able to point you to a bottle share near you.

    Thanks for the info mrcraft! I've never been to a bottle share before so if anyone reading this is in the Oxford, MS area let me know and we can get one going. Now I just have to find someone to hook me up with decent bottles!

    online bottle shops are popping up all over the place and if your state doesn't have problems with shipping, you can place an order and just pay shipping. then you can try stuff and not have to worry about what you are trading in return...and avoid the headache and expense of trading.

    that being said, the true reason to trade is to find a few good trading partners and just hook each other up like crazy and forget about trade values and instawhales and all that bs.

    unfortunately, my state doesn't allow shipping the last time I looked. Some laws changed recently so they might now but as of a couple weeks ago it was a no-go on shipping to Mississippi. Currently it's kinda hard to get people to trade when I can't get much here. I suppose i'll have to take a trip somewhere else at some point

    How far are you from Houston MS?? The BA mentioned is JR...he's a hell of a guy's.... Definitely worth getting to know, if he isn't far from you.....

    I'll have to get in touch with him. Houston, MS is about 1 hour from me.

    Anyone from a good distro wanna help me out? lol I have some Alabama/Miss locals to offer (not very many but a couple). :grinning:
