Guys, where are you ticking these? Here at BA or on UnT? Also, what's the etiquette for those of us who started tracking this say, last spring, but have been drinking beers for 25 years? I am at 188 unique, which is, conservatively, maybe 1/4 of my actual number through the years. Probably much much less.

Just realized im nearly at 500! (487)

I used to only count my reviews, per the old BA format. I've 243 reviews, so I'm close to 250, i guess that's a milestone.

International Travel has helped alot, I've had an incredible amount of variety of cheap lagers in my travels to China, Japan, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Macau, Jamaica, ect.

So many great american breweries/beers I've never even tried.

I do both here and UnT. I enjoy the forums here but like the App Interface of UnT better to be honest. I've checked in beers on here that I had in the past that I can remember. I know I have not ticked all of them having gone to over 100 breweries now but the most memorable ones I have reviewed.

I have been on BA for ages...just joined the UnT craze two years ago (that's when I started ticking). SO, I am in the process of transferring from my phone to BA.

By the way, Congrats to OP on #500!!!

My 500th beer on UnT was an Empire Saison.

Started keeping tabs last September and currently at 525.

(I really should have started the year before when I went to Tokyo for a beer trip and I would have a lot more)

I'm new to both, but not to beer. Still I don't retroactively review or tick anything. I'll only do it for current consumption. Hell, a lot of that consumption was before the WWW had pictures and certainly it predates smartphones and tablets. I think I'll just keep my 2014 start date and count from there.

Congrats op, I'm sure it was a delicious journey. I hit 400 this past weekend with a bang: even more Jesus, dark lord (my first dl ever) and boxers revenge.

I can never have a real count. I truly remember places with beers, and lots of them! Now, I keep trying things that might appeal to me, and nice new beers from brewers that I trust. This works fine for me.

The plentiful options these days can be hard on the wallet, not to mention the taste explorer's mental stability. Back in the early and mid-90s, it was a big ass deal to have had 100 or 200 different beers, and people thought you were a freak show for having sought them out (very few doing it back then) so you learned not to mention it. My advice, not that it has been solicited, is to consider returning repeatedly to available beers you only tried once to see if initial impressions hold up. Personally, I am always amazed at how different a beer can seem on different occasions, so my obsession is to learn as much as I can about each beer that has any merit at all that might ultimately make it a worthy member of a long-term rotation. Most recently, I tried Paulaner hefeweizen for like the 8th time and now, finally, I think I "get" it and am viewing it in whole new light. Rant over. My point is just that you never need to feel like you are "out" of beers to try as repeats may be quite enlightening.

Yea I occasionally pick up beers I've had before and they all stand have stood up to my first review so far.I've seen slowly trying a lot of pumpkin beers lately that fun never ends
