Just moved to NC

    Being from IL I don't really have any loyalties but since my gf is going to grad school at UNC we'll be rooting for them. I already expect it to be pretty ugly with Clowney quite possibly decapitating a couple players but that's alright... it's still the opening of college football and always fun to enjoy the game in an entertaining environment.

    Welcome to the area. Agree about Sam's being the best closest bottle shop. I'm in Raleigh and Tasty is our go-to. It's about as good selection and the guys there are totally awesome, unlike Sam's. It's a much friendlier place. Fullsteam is a must stop, as well as Trophy. Wicked Weed and Thirsty Monk when you get over to Asheville and Olde Hickory on the way there.

    From my experience, most of the guys are Sam's are very cool and friendly...especially once you've been a couple times.

    But I do agree....guys at Tasty are also very friendly....and for my money, Trophy is the best brewpub in the triangle.

    I agree, once you've been to Sam's a few times they are quick to talk to you.

    The guys at Tasty are awesome as well.

    Hopefully Carolina (the north variety) can chip into the hold that other conference has on just about everyone. I just hope it's a good game. Why such a seemingly great program has fallen on such times is a testament to recruiting, the talent pool, and the outrageous money floating around in college athletics. Duke, Virginia, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, and some others dodge this bullet, but being competitive consistently makes folks cut corners. We'll see this thing shake out some time in the next 100 years or so.
