Is there ANYTHING around here? Did find Nicks, but that's all so far. Nice place, good quality crafts, but VERY limited selection. Also haven't come across any decent bars yet. Any suggestions/recommendations are greatly appreciated

    God help you.

I work in St. Mary's county and live in Alexandria, VA and pretty much that entire stretch is a craft beer void. My advice to you is to go over the Wilson Bridge and hit Rick's in Alexandria or drive into DC and go to the Whole Foods market on P St.

Edit: I've heard The Wine Shoppe in Waldorf has some craft beer, but I've never been.

Always, I repeat ALWAYS, consult the beer advocate directory before moving.

Also - why would you move to Waldorf on purpose?

I stopped by Wine Shoppe on my way home from work. They didn't have a better selection than Nick's.

Though they did have a few of the 2011 Heavy Seas Below Decks bottles that were aged in Cabernet casks.

Spent almost 5 yrs in the 'Dorf, got the hell out of there 4 yrs ago.. The Wine Shoppe was the best place around when I lived there.. Forget finding much in the restaurants too..

    Yeah,

When I first moved to the East Coast I lived in Waldorf for over a year. It's certainly not a mecca for craft beer (or really anything else.) Thank God I moved into DC.

Nick's is about as good as it gets, or drive down to La Plata and hit up Colonial Liquors. Not bad for the area.
