Just Opened 2007 Abyss

    A friend at work gave me this out of the blue. Which is nice because I can't age beers to save my life. I'm new to craft beer, but this is the best beer I've ever had.

    opened one a couple months ago, it was decidedly worse than the 08 and (not infected) 09.

    IMHO, Abyss is always better fresh. Great score though!

    Agreed. Last bottle I had was still good (at a tasting earlier in the year), but it's starting to fade and is not nearly as delicious as it was a few years ago (IMHO). It made me feel very glad that I drank my last bottle several years ago.

    i usually like these beers after a year or two at MOST. 2010 Abyss is still amazing though.

    I had one last year and it seemed a little past prime. I think I have two more so it may be time to revisit.

    Opened one last year in a complete vertical. It was still really nice, but a bit thinned out in comparison to the 07 and 08.
