I know. Infinium is supposed to be consumed within a year of its birth. But mine was wayyyyyin the back of of my fridge and i just cracked it tonight. Gotta say-it was still good...sparkly, effervescent with a nice butterscotch and caramel aftertaste...

Infinium might be the worst beer I have ever consumed. Maybe it's better with some age. If I recall correctly, I described a fresh one as tasting like a funky cider with a splash of tequila.

We opened a bottle of this year's Infinium during the Orange Bowl. The only bigger disaster that night than the beer was Clemson's defense.

Tell me something. Do you all just don't like the stile in general, or is it that Infinium is actually terrible but other Champagne beers can be good?

Deus and Enlightenment Ales Brut are excellent, but I found Infinium just horrible. But alas some people like it and I am actually sending the bottle I have left from the first release to someone who likes the beer along with some other goodies, for some good stuff in return. The Infinium is pretty much an "agreed upon extra" that he can extra me something back or not, at least the beer will go to someone who likes it.

Yup. For some reason I bought two and have one sitting in my fridge for no reason. I can't give it away as an extra because that's cruel.

I posted the same in a thread of not sending it as an extra in fear of being placed on the Bad Traders List. Someone who likes the beer BM'd me and we worked out a trade for other stuff and he will get it as an extra.

Good to know. I liked others but haven't had Infinium, so it's actually one thing to avoid if I ever find one along my way.
