    I have a feeling most of these are going to be set aside for post-exam rewards throughout the year. I'd probably be down to share some when I do end up cracking them open. I'm right in RO so we're definitely close.

    i wonder how 2010 abyss is doing now. was basically a perfect beer when i had it at the beginning of last year.

    Funny thing is I didn't realize how awesome Russ was in offering this to me when we set up the trade. After poking around a bit, I think he was more than generous in our deal. I really hope he loves his meads and I also hope someday I can return the favor / pay it forward.

    IMO it's going to surpass the '08 in age-ability. The beer as you mentioned was outstanding at release, and it has been the most consistently graceful in duration for me. I'm actually really surprised at how well this one has developed provided the excellence presented initially. Hard to make an outstanding beer better with age for me. But this one is a good vintage.

    Luckily, it was really widely available and easy to obtain.
