Going to be in town for the weekend. Seeing if anyone had some recommendations on bottle shops. Would love to snag some Schramm's. How available is that on shelves? Appreciate the help!
Although I can't answer specifically whether they have Schramm's stuff, if you go to Mega-Bev on West Main Street (on south side of road about 3/4 mile west of US-131 exit) they likely have just about anything that you could want to find in Michigan. Drake Party Center on Drake Road at Michigan Avenue is also a good store.
The options that Mothergoose stated are the best options. The third best option is Tiffany's, however, they are always on the pricey side. But Tiffany's may also be the most likely place you will find Schramm's due to the higher price. Good luck.
Everything that has been said above. I frequent both Mega Bev and Drakes, but stopped going to Tiffany's several years ago because of their prices and specifically price gouging on limited releases. They used to have some of the best beer knowledgeable staff, but that is not the case any more either. Mega Bev has more volume of products, but Drakes sometimes is a better bet for more limited items. I haven't seen Schramm's on shelves recently and I think it's kind of hit and miss with them in Kazoo. Drake's has really stepped up their higher end non-beer items, so they might be your best bet. Hopefully you got in on some of the Beer week activities this weekend. Maybe we even passed each other in one of the Chili cook off lines today.
Drakes usually has Schramm shelfies like Ginger, Nutmeg & Raspberry. I was in there last week & saw Ginger & Nutmeg on the shelf
There are two Mega Bevs, one in Kalamazoo and the other in Portage. Have them check the other store to see if they have it. Otherwise Tiffany's at a premium
When I see these posts just makes me think how much drakes must have improved since I lived there. Not that it too much to be better than they were. Used to live down the street up the hill.
They really have & they put most new stuff on Facebook to reserve for about 2 weeks. That's good & bad because we get quick notification but out of towners (GR, Detroit, etc) will reserve bottles so locals don't get them but even if I miss out then that bottle is on my radar to look elsewhere for it. They've also remodeled & dedicated most of their space to craft beer
