Haha I missed out on Mexican Brunch the same way (failed calendar reminder) hence the frustration...but I was able to score a bottle in a trade. Not going to go out of my way for this one though.

I’m happily social media free (no Twitter/instagram/Facebook) and it kinda sucks I have to peruse them to stay in touch with releases/news from my favorite breweries. At this point I’m just happy I don’t need a burner account to view their posts.

    Re:moving building etc

I believe they have taken over most of their current building except for the small office space that the company next door kept

Additionally the sour/wild facility is across the parking lot, I assume they have moved the packaging material there and possibly the office space?

Unsubstantiated rumour but I heard over the years they were looking to acquire their full current building and building in the rear in hops of making a "complex" of sorts. Keep all materials close and have the ability to have outdoor seating closed off between buildings.

again i am speaking mostly on rumours.

    maybe @glennl can chime in

I wonder if the Port Omnas will be this Saturday or next Saturday. Last year it fell on St. Patrick's day so maybe it might not be until next weekend (3/16).....

Technically, last year they released the base a week or 2 before the variants, which wasn't the way they did it the year prior. Either way hoping its tomorrow and not next sat b/c I can't go next sat

Each year is a little different. The 2016 take on Port Omna was a month, with different variants each week for samples, tastings, and fills

Possibly a different use of malts, and a new dry-hop rather than extra dose of Amarillo: Hull Melon. Maybe a different fermentation process as well?

Same at 4pm. Low key day. Plenty of waimea, morning bell, simplicity, vengeful hearts and the regulars in cans.

Cracked the white label. Solid and smooth but I gotta say I’m a little underwhelmed. Was expecting big things and it just didn’t deliver. Hoping the other 2 are better.

Anyone crack a can of Waimea last night? Thoughts on this version?

I can’t compare it to previous versions, but I found it strong on the herbal weed — and thought that complemented the tropical, floral passionfruit component pretty well. (One of the muggliest looking NEIPAs I’ve ever seen though.)
