Kane Brewing (2019)

i personally haven't had the BA versions for MB or SB but can easily see that being true. Also $20 each for a 500ml is def a little pricey too. I know they will easily sell out, but from my perspective it's one that's worth sitting out given how much quality stuff they put out.

Same way I felt for horus stuff. It'll be tasty I'm sure (just like all their beer) but I'm good with a sample at the brewery if they have it, if not I'll also be happy.

This is not a complaint on price, for the style and everything else I'm sure this is what needs to be charged for them to make a profit, and I bet its not even that high of one. I just think it gives perspective and helps me personally choose to pass on beers like this. But that price is the equivalent of paying about 75$ for a four pack of 16 oz cans. Please don't take this as a complaint (it is not), this is for people who have FOMO and miss.

 

One of the problems with kane is that historically many of the limited releases never see a tap outside of the cloverleaf or a festival. This drives the hype with these releases. Kane has gotten better in this regard by having more on tap at the brewery. That being said, i am at the brewery weekly and will probably never have the Horus collab.

 

never say never, although this is one I can see not making it on the board. They have been better with getting stuff on there thats been rarer as of late. I would like to see a more rotating list. Some times things stay on too long

 

Exactly as a local i would not care about missing these eventbrite things if i got to have them on tap on a random thursday. Having had this years mex brunch a month ago i am far less fomo about this sale.

 

Yea i agree, I'm not complaining about the price but it is high enough to make me sit out this one. I'll buy the hell out of morning bell at $12 or $14 a bottle for a 750 (i forget the correct price).

Kane makes so much good beer and its easy to pick and choose which ones to buy and sit out given the style, how much you like the beer, price, size format etc. Also i love regular mex brunch and i got bottles this year so it makes the decision easy.

This is 100% in line with my train of thought. Except that I actually went for the Horus stuff. It was super pricey. And I do not usually Chase Wales. But I happen to know that I would be in the area during the pickup times so I figured why not. While very good it was not substantially better than any other Kane Barrel aged dark beer. Going forward I will treat myself every once in awhile but I'm not going to go out of my way for this stuff.

 

BA Mexican Bruch was already on tap recently. On March 23, 2019, they posted it was on for samples. Not sure why people think it might not be on in the future.

 

Ba mex brunch definitely will. Some of the higher demand beers like the horus collabs or antead were what i was referring to. It has been at least 18 months since the sixth anniversary when antead was tapped. Kane has gotten better at putting ba stuff on tap but i am far from confident that their best stuff will get put on at the brewery giving people who missed the sale the opportunity to try it.

Key portion of their post is def the 250 bottles of bird to explore all shores horus collab at 1 bottle per.

 

I think a lot of people missed that little blurb on the bottom...

 

I hope so... probably won’t be able to make it until tomorrow to grab some whole leaf. Crossing my fingers the Horus lasts till tomorrow because it’s 1 pp
