Good, caramel and malt particularly noteworthy, light... Not much strong aftertaste. If you like the style you'll enjoy it. If you are a voracious IPA/BBA stout only person it's not going to change your mind and shift your tastes. At the price point, I think it's quite good if you like the style.

Why is the pilsner cloudy? I was there and picked up some yesterday but haven't tried.

Also they had a new tap only IPA yesterday, Eastern something. Some of their best work yet

Stopped in yesterday to break up the lovely drive down the Parkway. 2 comments:

    1. Half-Timbered is fantastic, just enough barrel flavor in a lighter bodied beer. Kind of perfect for warmer weather.

    2. To me, Sideshore is indistinguishable from Night Swimming, which isn’t a bad thing.

That might be the IPA, as a swipe over presents a different outlook

The second pic is not nearly as cloudy but there is still a haze to it that isn't what you typically see in a pilsner.

I can attest that the actual beer is quite clear (and quite tasty).

Random question but figured this was the best place to ask: does anyone know why HH, when served on tap, can sometimes be rather clear, and other times, be straight haze? It’s usually a more clear IPA, and I’m always thrown for a loop when I get it and it’s hazy.

I don't have an answer but have wondered that too. I feel like lots of heavily hopped beers have variable levels of haziness and clarity, but I notice it particularly with Head High like you noted.

My guess kegs have more time to settle and don’t get jostled around as much so everything drops out faster. Next time you get cans let one sit could for a few weeks you’ll probably get a clearer beer.

I agree, it is likely the bottom/end of a settled keg, or the start of a just moved around keg

Anyone open a Stacking Casks bottle yet? Picked two bottles up along with w/ Side Shore and Blue Hotel last weekend, loving the cans so far!

I want to make/get a kegerator so bad. One day...one day.

Yeah, it's honestly possible that I just notice more variability because I get Head High so often and I'd notice the same thing with other beers if I consistently ordered/bought them.

Would love to see Cosmic Noise or one of the Punch variations in cans this weekend!
