Kane Brewing (2019)

I think I'm finally going to make the drive this time. Will probably hit Pizza Boy and a restaurant or something in Philly on the way there and/or back, and maybe a park or two.

As far as near Kane, favorite thing to do, favorite place to eat? Not a huge list, won't be there for very long, but a good spot or two are welcome!

 

Your route might take you right by Brick Farm Tavern (aka Troon Brewing) which is a great spot for both decent food and NJ beers in general.

If you end up heading down to Philly let me know if you’d like more detailed recommendations, the potential list is very long.

This is all correct, except last year was also 1:1 (but I forgot the max set # you could get). I know I got 2. Generally theres been leftovers that they will sell out of the taproom in the weeks after, however with Kane pushing onsite bottles I could see a situation where if they do leftover sales, they would be doing it for a lesser # of bottles and reserving more for onsite pours. But really all speculation. The Quad is much less sought after than ANTEAD or Brunches, but the Porter/Stout blend is more sought after than the Quad itself. So if there are limited sets left and they require you to buy the set they could potentially go quick depending on the # left.

Theres not much right by Kane, its set back off the highway in an industrial park kinda area. Kane is a 5-10 min drive from Asbury, so I would say if you have the time do that. Depending on what kind of food you prefer there are a lot of options in Asbury or even the surrounding towns. I can give recommendations as well as a handful of people on here too. Also if you have a lot of time, Icarus is worth a stop and is about 20 - 25 south of Kane.

 

If you stop by Brickfarm/Troon you are also very close to Refreind which I absolutly recommend.

By Kane you will pass a Wegmann's which has a great selection of Local beers.

Bradley Brew Project is a new berewery making great beers as well that is close. Bamboo Leaf is the best Thai around and byob next door

If you want to get a beer or 2 before you leave I would recommend the below is Asbury Park

also grab yourself a Pizza from Pete & Elda's in neptune city or Vics in Bradley Beach as well, you wont be disappointed.

 

I ended up just buying a set. Seems like it was very easy. Even now 6 minutes in there are sets available

I’m guessing with one bottle being a quad and lack in instagram complaints that the demand did not overload Eventbrite. I didn’t bother but I always enjoy the spectacle. Glad people all seem to be able to easily get orders this time.

 

Got mine right at 12, excited to try these both. Seems like the stout is going to be maple forward from their post

 

In regards to some people's recommendations, heads up that Brick Farm Tavern is closed this Saturday 9/21 for a private event.

Kinda wish ya hadn't told me about Brick Farm, that place looks amazing now I'm going to have to add something to my ever growing list!

I skipped this go round. Hoping Sunday brunch comes back soon, saving my $ and less than ever beer time these days for that...hopefully soon.

as @Mrstiffington said it has been yes in the past. they had some special tappings for their actual anniversary of opening last month, but they could throw some stuff on this weekend as well. It wouldn't surprise me if we saw a can also!

 

Except this weekend is Sea Hear Now festival. Im staying away from asbury this weekend
