I guess I understand the cost savings of putting it in a can, but if you are going to still keep your 9% porters in bottles (b/c tradition?) when most places are canning those type of beers, why not just keep this in the bottle, especially because its going to be released what I would assume would be sparingly. Unless theres an absolute massive amount of it being canned and they need to save space (as well as money) it makes more sense.

That being said I def need some!

I assume this is not hand sealed like a crowler knowing Kane.

I am going to guess this was done on the canning line, mainly to preserve integrity of the beer to be shelf/fridge stable. With crowlers not lasting very long i just dont seeing that being Kane's way.

That being said, I am ok with the cost savings. Figure if this was bottled we would be looking at $12-$14 per bottle? So we are saving a decent amount.

Also I wonder if this is foresight/trial run on some of the mixed ferm stuff that they are going to be pumping out this is a seperate canning line in the new space for some of those beers

I'd honestly love to see these on a canning line. If anyone has video (Kane!) post it!

Yeah def not hand sealed. I assume much in the way of Troon, which I assume is run a on a line and not hand sealed, but I have no clue. Also can't wait for more mixed ferm stuff, I know it takes time and I think we are going to see a bunch of the first things coming soon, or I hope at least.

Is glass that much more expensive, doing this math is what made me pass on Sunday Brunch (and sadly two busy weekends)...

The price point on Sunday Brunch would make a four pack of 16 oz cans cost 51.20$. People quickly point out price per four packs as expensive, is there a reason bottles get a free pass? Anyone have any thoughts? Have people just not done the price per oz comparison? I don't know just thought its a fun conversation, and relevant to sea change switching to aluminum.

For whatever reason, to me it was just acceptable for a 750 ml bottle to be that much but it sounds crazy when you do the price per oz comparison to a can.

**if my math is wrong let me know but I'm usually good with #s**

I got $50.52 per 4 pack with my (possibly faulty math) I also did jsut the base $60 cost for 3 bottles/$20 per bottle. The thing that makes me scratch my head is that fact that people complain about $20 a 750ML bottle but willing drop $16-$20 on 500ML bottles from other places with no regard for cost there? who knows. I buy what I know I like or will want to try, unless the price is ridiculously outrageous or something

was not expecting sea change to sell out today... arrived at 3:35 and it was gone... told it sold out about 2:30.... guess it wasn't a big run or if it was everybody maxed out... kind of odd... shame... wanted to grab a few cans

That is a bit surprising. I figured it would still be there tomorrow.

The place was surprisingly packed at about 1230 yesterday. Haven’t seen it that busy in a while. Most people seemed to be grabbing 2-4 cans but there was a steady line the whole time I was there.

Dropped by Saturday around 2. Have not seen it that busy in a long long time. Cans were moving but did not look like anything out of the ordinary.

I find it pretty amazing that there is a selection of 4 bottles available To-Go.

Christian Patrick was very good and Lunch box hero was way too sweet for me. ANTEAD i got a ton of Strawberry on the endand cocoa in the vanilla.

My favorite of the day was the chestnut bierhall

This year’s Sunday Brunch is indistinguishable from Morning Bell. I’m not getting any cinnamon or maple at all.

I’m there with you in the maple, not a ton, which is what I loved about Sunday over a Mexican. I got a ton of cinnamon and coffee. Just opened a bottle in Halloween

Agree completely on the maple. I got cinnamon in the first few sips but it faded as the glass got emptier.
