God damn wish they had 2922 on draft during the release that beer is ridiculous and i'm hanging on to my last bottle for dear life. Not sure how long I'll be able to hold off doming that one.

I've found bottles of Kane to be great a year later, but never as good as they were fresh. More often than not that seems to be the case.

Very few beers are worth aging, and only if you have multiples and don't care about the likelihood of degrading the quality of the experience.

Oh hell yes, you traded before trying?!

LMAO since I got 2 I was willing to trade one off for a trade of some stuff I had been looking for.

Following up, I got my hookup and made sure not to sit on my SB this year, and it's just as stellar as ever for me. The wonderful coffee character they develop in this beer is unmatched IMO and the primary reason I love it, with the other elements accenting perfectly. I have a few other favorites that are pretty heavy hitters, like Cigar City's Caffe Americano, and obviously Mornin' Delight, but Sunday Brunch is tops for me over all of them, still. :beers::fire::beers::fire:

I bought some Overhead cans for the first time in around a year or so.

Canned 11/20/19, it's very tasty; however it's a much different beer than I remember. I recall it being a whole lot more hoppy/bitter overall almost like Heady or a West Coast DIPA. This is drinking a lot softer like a NEIPA with more malty sweetness and the hops being more late-hopped than ever. Has anyone else noticed this? There seems to be a fluffy, almost oat-y mouthfeel that I don't remember there being before either. Not complaining, just curious.

EDIT: as it warms, the aforementioned oat character goes away. I'm sure this is all palate shift more than anything.

I bought a four pack of Overhead at Wegmans a couple months ago. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had so many different beers over the last ten years or so I no longer trust my own memory. Yeah, I thought Overhead was more west coasty and bitter years ago but then again nothing tastes all that bitter hoppy to me anymore.

Yeah, true. Lupulin shift is a real thing. Plus I seem to drink more 0dub than I do Overhead so perhaps I'm getting my "beer memories" confused.

Personally, I like Odub and its variants more than Overhead (but less than Head High) but I enjoy them all for sure.

Ha. Complete opposite. Overhead by a country mile. Always and forever. Rest of the top 5 varies by the day. Currently

    2. Boat
    3. Sneakbox
    4. Head High.
    5. 077xx

Dub Variants aren't available enough to really compare.

As far as widely available NJ beers, the 5 above, to me, are it. Steep dropoff after those. I enjoy Cape May beers now and again. But put them up side by side and the above just blow them away. Dont cone at me with that Magnify BS though.

had 2922 on tap this weekend and it was excellent. immediately hit with that french toast vibe when I took a sip. Also had the 2017 SB they had one, still holding up excellently.

To the person who was amazed I traded a 2922 away before trying, it was indeed excellent and bought a bottle at the brewery to fill that spot back up!

As per the staple beers convo, Head high will always be one of my favorite IPAs. Also was wondering about Black Friday this year, they said details coming soon. Last year I turned around halfway when I got wind of the line, wonder how bad it will be this year. Looking forward to the details at least as it’s always fun to see what new stuff they may add this year. Wonder if Black Friday will be evening bell day all the time now? One would assume I guess.
