Been brewed for a while but bottled first time last year @Conz it was nothing crazy line wise. I doubt it will anything crazy this year too but who knows.

See, last week’s were barrel-aged but not stouts and this week’s is a stout, but not barrel-aged. So not as much excitement for either.

There's no accounting for taste I guess. More for us.

I just wish Kane would lay off. Maybe take a goddam vacation or something. In addition to the spend with these weekly releases I have to find space in the fridge, coordinate weekend plans with a wife and 4 small kids to get the beer, and then deal with the domestic hostility created by those efforts. It's exhausting.

Agreed. I’ve been there twice in two weeks and want to go back!

that's what i figured, but i know damn well i'll show up at 11:30 and have to wait in the bitter cold for an hour. i'll just err on the side of caution and get there 11ish. Best thing about Kane is Wegmans is right up the road.

Hahaha. First world problems right?

Only have 2 kids that are a little older (9 and 10) but every time I say ok we gotta go stop by Kane I get major eye rolls (oh yeah they are both girls...)

with you, and we’re only at two. First trip to kane in a long time this weekend. Then who knows when the heck I’ll make it back again. Fridge is pretty empty so it’s good timing for me.

Go on Saturday and ask at the front bar is they have cookies. They usually do. So now my kids like going. The wife, though....

So more likely a line now. But on the bright side, more things for you to buy!

Was about to say same thing. I got here with like 50-70 people in front. Took a while cause all the options I guess. Also dropped medovik limit to two.

Quick sellout of Holy Nights and Medovik, think both were gone before 2:00. Glad I got some along with OP, amazing to-go selection. Perfect timing with the holidays approaching.

I couldn’t have cared less the limits dropped cause I was going anyway, so the new ones were bonus for me. But if I drove an hour just for that only to get limits dropped twice it wouldn’t sucked. Does kane just underestimate the volume that people buy? Or so they want it gone quickly? Seems like limit dropping happens a decent amount based on posts I’ve read on here.

no rhyme or reason. I think they usually start higher by default based on previous release.

it’s tough to gauge. Holy nights is not BA that would typically last an entire weekend, whereas Ba Medvix is a first time bottle and as i recall medvix lasted a few days.

Unfortunately you BA ant stout/porter & the people go crazy. Personally i don’t get it, so many ba beers at all of these brewerries(Kane, oh) are all so similar how do people buy/drink all of them

    went there yesterday...

Holy Nights is amazing, first time having it. Usually coconut beers can go so medicinal/fake tasting, but they nailed it. The conclave collab was really enjoyable, went back to get a pour of that - the rare circumstance where a collab mixes both breweries well. Wasn't a big fan of Strata

Surprised to see they had all 3 bottles of OP left, and still had pictures in reverse left. I think i got those bottles in the summer time? They're very enjoyable.

When I was approaching the register Saturday a guy behind me in line said "Wow, I can't believe they have OP left!" I replied "I know, right?! I'm looking forward to that one more than Holy Nights." He chuckled and said it was sarcasm.

Smh at all those who don't properly appreciate a good BA barleywine.

Object Permanence might be, IMO, the best beer Kane has ever done. And that's saying something.

Yeah, I completely understand how some people might prefer stouts in general but I've felt pretty strongly that that 2017 batch of OP is the single best beer they've released (note, I haven't tried some of the anny beers of early ANTEAD variants). Defunitely up there with the best barleywine I've ever had.

Going to be very happy if this batch reminds me of that one.
