Somewhat random Kane thought...does Morning Bell become their 4th beer to be canned and sold in stores alongside Head High, Overhead, and Sneak Box ? It is their 4th most checked in beer on untappd, as one measure of its popularity.

Mmmm a 4 pack of Morning Bell pounder cans is a nice thought.

I'd love year round morning bell.

But based on frequency of brewing - if they were to release another year round, I can see it being party wave. PW seems like it's brewed every two months or so - way more frequently than the other sticker cans, except for maybe indicators.

I'd like Single Fin in distro cans, but that'll never happen.

I was speculating Morning Bell since there are already 3 hop forward beers in stores from them.

I would assume it will remain a once a year thing, just makes more sense. It also has a ton of check in's due it it being a beer they have brewed since way back in the early days. It would make more sense for Evening Bell to be canned and distro'd over MB, because it has no adjuncts and can be brewed in any cycle without needing the coffee from Rook.
This, I've been calling for Party Wave as a Core for years now!

That’s a nice light beer. As you said, it’ll never happen. The most recent cans sat for a long time at the brewery.

Which is sad unfortunately. Great for warm weather and food. If they kept it around for a bit, I’d keep buying it.

Sipping on a 2/19/20 can of Sneakbox. This beer tastes much sweeter to me than I’m used to. Anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

I never wanted to be the one to come out and say it, but I can agree. It is not quite the same Sneakbox I remember from 2-3 years ago when I would get it from the brewery, not to mention the Hoplab Citra days. The distributed stuff as of the past few months kinda disappointed me to be honest. I’ll have to try some again, it’s been a little while

2/29 can tonight. It's definitely a different beer from OG, feels a little heavier. Id assume that at some point over the years they switched yeasts - even if it's always been an in-house yeast - it's definitely changed over the years through generations. Plus hop/malt crops.

Still a very good beer, I wouldn't say it's sweeter, but it's different. Still a beer I'll reach for on the shelf over most other distrod hazies.

2/20 HH was also very good.

Is there a Kane and/or NJ trade group on Facebook by chance?

I think sneakbox is still a tasty beer but I don’t think it has the drinkability I want in 5%. So maybe I’m getting the same thing as you @TheGent. I think head high is crisper and cleaner of the two if we’re just talking distro kane.

Can't comment on quality of recent batches, but I concur on drinkability. It's definitely not a sessionable beer, as I also find it heavier and pretty filling for its ABV - can't knock back 2-3 in succession like Boat or similar hoppy sessions.

These comments sum up my feeling from the can last night. The first thing that hit me was sweetness, but your comments do a good job of describing and summing up my experience with that can.

I tend to agree with this. Something about London III or whatever house permutation of it they are using makes things less sessionable for me when making a comparison to something like Boat (which is the best) with a cleaner yeast profile. The overly fruity yeast contribution found in NE-style hazy pales just makes for a totally different drinking experience. For something that I want to have multiples of, I find myself leaning towards a more neutral or subtle yeast profile. Not taking anything away from Sneakbox, because it's an amazing beer. Just comparing apples and oranges, IMO.

If I want to sit outside on a hot summer day and have a bunch of beer, Ripple is much more sessionable from Kane than Sneak and IMO I don't like Boat a ton (sorry). Pillow Hat from HVB is a great example as well, although both those miss the mark on flavor, where Sneakbox hits it. Its a give and take, Sneak is prob one of the most flavorful lower ABV beers I can recall, from Hoplab Citra days all the way until now and everything in between.

Kane going full send with the pastry release this weekend...opening at 10? is this beer going to drive that much of a crowd?
