Kane Brewing (2020)

Morning Bell was great this year IMO, very coffee forward out of the gate. Blue Hotel is this beer where the best batches are outstanding but some batches are very meh. I have kind of given up on getting it unless I can try it first, although with the current situation if I go out I may get some or just more Party Wave. I will say when Blue Hotel and Motel were both on tap I like Motel much better

 

The first batch of Blue Hotel was up there with the galaxy greats but I agree I have been underwhelmed by what I have had since. This current batch of Party Wave is way dialed in though. As good as any batch I’ve had.

 

Agree on Blue Hotel, batch 1 was great. The subsequent releases have not lived up to it. I’m sorry to say I’ve given up on it.

Saw this last night, I will likely place an order. I have been ordering from Burial and I am due for a box today from them and ordered more last night. I was wanting to go to Icarus and Kane to do a circle there and home, but in my mind wasnt necessary and I'd rather stay in. Now I get Kane delivered so that helps!

 

Looking forward to when they get to my county- I’ll definitely place an order.

Doesn’t it say you can place orders during morning hours for delivery later in the day? I wouldn’t place an order until they announce my county. Unless I’m looking at the post wrong.

One thing i wonder about Kane is if they'll be servicing different areas each day and how that impacts daily availability. Kinda like how Other Half does it - the "good stuff" gets picked up early and by the end of the rotation that area is getting scraps.

of course this changes if the brewery is canning multiple times during the week. I suspect covid has thrown a wrench in a lot of brewing calendars and a brewery like Kane who generally only offers 1-2 new cans a week may be trying to alter their calendar so that they're able to release 3-4 canned offerings along with their normal SB/HH/OH.

 

yeah, I am Monmouth county and was just outside the initial delivery area so was assuming I'd end up getting it. Now that all of Monmouth is able to I can. My assumption from they post is they will delivery to all of Monmouth each day and then maybe parts of other areas on specific days

 

Placed an order this AM for delivery today, will see how this works! Sad I missed on more party wave waiting a day but SBX is an outstanding consolation prize!

Yeah I really wanted more Party Wave, this batch is amazing, but I have 2 left. Just got my delivery, super easy, guy put it on my retaining wall a safe distance away and then I held up my ID to verify.

I don’t think it’s crazy to think they’ve purposely not released bottles cause they know they’d get a crowd of people. Unless they figure out a way to make sure that doesn’t happen I doubt there will be any new bottles soon. Who knows though.

Honestly

I mean, adjunct stouts can't sit around forever. If they had Sunday brunch or something on tap I guarantee they would release it, and do online ordering and staggered pickup. Otherwise, hold on for 2, maybe 3 months? Moreover, even if peak is in 3 or 4 weeks it's not going to disappear instantly. They may need to consider some similar system at least until the vaccine, at least for their workers' sake. Plus while I don't like them, Pastryboiz lives aren't entirely without value, and ethically saving them from themselves isn't the worst thing, if only to save the poor families they go home to.

 

DDH brewery and delivery only this weekend. What a pair (SBX AND DDH PW, top two IPAs they make... In my opinion)

 

Cloud cover should have been canned long long before. Cool to finally see it now.
