Picture is reverse is absolutely delicious. I’m not a huge BBA fan but this is just really hitting the spot right now. Excellent old ale.

ouch. what’s the can date on that guy?

Tastes like a mediocre Icarus beer. Nothing like OG overhead which is what put Kane on the map

sad to hear batch i just had was great. idk about what put them on the map.. i'd say more like they had great beer and back in 10/11 when they opened there really wasn't many NJ craft spots... Carton/Kane kind of put themselves on the map by being early to the show and both grew with the scene and championed in the other places.. guess Cape May could also been tossed in with Kane Carton ect. where as flying fish and climax and some others were around even before

Head high and overhead were better than anything carton or cape may did, have done or ever could do. No disrespect. I really love Carton. And I've liked everything I've had from Cape May for the most part.

But over head and head high have always been a head and shoulders above head and shoulders above anyting around. This latest batch of overhead is trying to be something it is not. Way too hazy and very muggy and just a complete disaster

Not sure you have read the last couple pages of this thread but everyone else is raving about the new Hazy OH. Just wondering if you don't like the new hazy OH or it's really an off batch? I was excited to buy it based on comments over the last week but now not so sure. Guess i will have to pick up a 4 pack and see for myself.

I opened one of my Overheads yesterday, I didnt think it was awfully different than the last time I had it a handful of years ago. Def not "hazy" to the level of most NEIPA in look or flavor IMO.

Can someone tell me if what white hall is like? Is it just fruity/juice or is it more in between like head high? Thanks for any response, debating splitting an order with my brother tomorrow.

So I only drank this at the taproom once and never got the old cans with the red in the label, but I recall liking it a lot. I commented on my check in "Classic Kane" and I remember telling my cousin it was one of the better IPAs they had released at the time (Jan this year it seems) and I think it was the second batch or on tap only. I thought it was cirtus forward but still had a hoppiness to it that reminded you it was a beer and a not overly sweet or juicy. That's what I can remember at least.

I was not a big fan of the current cans of OH that I have.

I’m drinking a Whitehall right now and I love it. The Pilsner Malt is prominent to me (like in Head High). My impression is that the “green” side of Mosaic has a big influence on the aroma and flavor of this beer. I find it a little dirty, earthy and dank. I personally like it a lot. I also get pineapple and lemon/orange citrus.

    Just one BA’s opinion @jonphisher

Releasing "Swim Fin" today. They mentioned that they made a "few" changes since the first release in August 2019. seems like basically a new beer on the surface, which is weird considering it sits at a 3.95 on untappd

-two row malt and british halycon base malt
    + pilsner and red wheat
    -Enigma and Sabro in kettle
    + Citra in kettle
-Enigma and Waimea in dry hop
    + citra in dry hop

Yeah if you are going to totally rework a beer, why not just rename it?
