Has anyone called Kane yet to let them know that their price point for the XXL zip up hoodie is egregiously high? Are people really paying $47 for the XXL when the medium is only $45? It seems like just yesterday I could walk up to Kane and buy a hoodie for $40. Take me back. Call me old-fashioned, but I'm just not up to date with this "zipper" trend.

By my calculations, the labor and materials going into the hoodie mean it should cost no more than $34. I desperately hope I'm wrong about this blatant greed, so please correct me if so. Until then, you can find me at Gap purchasing similar quality hoodies for $22.

Gap is definitely more expensive than Kane. I would’ve used Old Navy in my example there.
Seriously though, as I said, I get the opposing point but I do think there’s a big difference between users in our mid-Atlantic Kane thread on BA voicing price objections/observations/complaints/whatever here among other various Kane topics with each other than harassing Kane directly on FB/IG/Kane’s website. BUT YOU'LL NOTICE I DID PREDICT THIS HAPPENING AGAIN!

    So I have question.

If the ANTEAD bottle shows up on the home delivery site, but it doesn't show on the regular site as a beer to go, does that mean you are unable to purchase it while there?

I have been using the home delivery site as a good gauge of what they have available if I walked up. I do assume they pull it or list it as S/O on the delivery a little before it does totally sell out to avoid needing to cancel an order. Not sure how far you are from Kane, I am relatively close, so it might not be worth the time of you actually going on a what if. You could also call and ask while they are open, I would think they would let you know.

I do agree they shifted a bit, but I don't think they dove head first in and never looked back. I'd still argue that while they make much more IPA than then may have used to, their IPAs are still a bit more of a original NE IPA vibe than what we get from a lot of other places in NJ and the surrounding areas. To each their own, but the 11/17 batch of Party Wave was so dank and resinous I would have gotten a keg of it if I had a kegerator!

HUGE agree on the 11/17 Party Wave. It was a homerun.

The early business model was hoppy beers and Belgian style beers. I miss the belgians, though I get the business decision. They take longer to make and don’t sell as quickly as pales/ipas. Even the ones they still make (anniversary, malus) have been rebranded as an anniversary ale and apple cider ale respectively. They sold out quick this year, which makes me think they made less.

I still think they’re very good overall. I do agree the ipas haven’t been as consistent. My buying habits have changed to picking up a single 4-pack. My frustration pre pandemic was that they wouldn’t put a new release on draft in tandem w the packed goods.

TLDR: Things change. I still like them.

So I stopped by at around 6 to (hopefully) pick up regular ANTEAD, because it was still listed on their home delivery site (but not regular to go site). I actually called their number to make sure, but all I got was "Please leave a message". Picked up my allotment and went back home.

Now, my question is why does "Home Delivery" lists it but not their regular website. It's not that far of a drive for me (30 miles or so) but I could see how anxiety inducing this would be for a person that has to drive over 50+ miles only to find out they weren't selling it on the premises. Why wouldn't this be listed on the regular website?

Sure, You can make the argument of "we used to stand in lines"(so did I btw) but why not list it properly during the current climate?

It's on the instagram story. Yeah their website isn't always up to date on stuff like bottles that may sell out in my experience vs. instagram (though that's only updated once a day, so if they sold out mid afternoon obviously that doesn't help).

Has anyone tried waist high? I was excited to see that since I love head high but prefer the smaller beers. Does it actually taste like a lighter head high? Or is it more of its own beer?

It tasted like head high light to me. I like it (and really like the label art), but still prefer head high.

cool if it tastes like head high I’ll have to give it a try. According to their post the store down the street should have some now if not soon...

You lucky fucks got SBX back I see. That was one of my favorite beers (any style) and even at 2 months old, the beer was still stellar.
