I was at Conclave that day, so I did not get any. Maybe next weekend if it’s still there.

Cracked one last night and it was really good. Right after I poured it I got this really smooth creamy/fruitiness and then as it warmed a bit I got a lot of the Nelson. Really enjoyed it and will likely grab another this weekend if they have it still

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, but is Double Double Cask available anywhere outside of the BA Extreme Beer Box?

Is Kane opening their outdoor space again? Is it open now?

Halftime had it a week ago at $20/4 pack! One of the best beer bargains ever imo. Said they might get a little more this week.

Have never used Halftime, but that might convince me.

I've used them a few times with no problems. Flat rate $20 shipping to Pennsylvania and they still have a lot from the extreme beer box available. If you're ever in Lancaster county I'll give you a can.

It’s a shame they don’t have cans of it at the brewery though. But I will say I was there last night and their selection of bottles is crazy good. I bought several bottles and one four pack of ESB cans. Plus the barrel-aged beer selection on tap also great. Was a bit disappointed that Head High variant was gone.

It is not open right now, just the inside taproom Sat/Sun. I would assume if laws/restrictions allow for them to have an outside set up again this year they would, it seemed like people enjoyed it. The only issue in running both the actual taproom and the outside set up is having enough employees. Being there the last few weekends, it seems they have just a small crew of bartender/taproom employees right now.

Man, I am a big Kane fan. Of fact, I’m drinking one of their beers as I type this. But wow, do all four of those Port Omna variants sound like big, sweet messes to me. I’m sure there will be many who will buy and like them, but I just wonder why all four have to be big dessert stouts.

They sell I guess. I mean in fairness I've seen the base throughout decent liquor stores in NJ. If, in order to have that, they sell $24 four packs of pastry stouts so be it. That said I get the argument. I assume the prior variants, which to be fair I haven't had, were more subtle? I'm too lazy to look back, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were and if they didn't think the current market would be ok with that at $6 a can.

Yeah some of the earlier variants were definitely more subtle. But you’re right, the base was released too, so there’s that.

Went in with a friend on the variants. Definitely overly sweet. Whenever they list “Haitian, Ghanaian, and Ugandan cacao nibs” in the beer, it’s an indicator that it will taste like a riff on boardwalk twist. That’s not a complaint, only an observation. Cracked the cheesecake and it checked those boxes.

This this this. I still grabbed everything except the one with cream cheese because why, please stop it. My friend wanted to split the 4-packs with me so 2 cans (or less if I give some to friends) of each is fine for me. I haven't opened them but I assume they will be super sweet. I do miss the days of when the variants were just the same roasty base beer with some adjunct added. Really miss the days of Port Omna Coconut just being super roasty coconut coffee tasting. But times have changed as have their brewers, if it sells you brew it.

I will say, I had a few pours of hollow sea while I was there and its really good. Glad they are still doing beers like that as well

Anyone have a favorite of the Port Omna variants? They all sound on the sweet side and no barrel aged (or blended) version this year. I wish they had a mixed 4 pack available for delivery so I didn't have to commit to multiple cans each.

Thankfully my buddy wanted to split the same ones I wanted, but I was saying this would be a great thing to do what Carton does with the irregular coffees and do mixed packs. I haven't opened any of the ones I got but I plan on doing so tonight.

I have cracked 2 of the 3 Port Omna variants I got. Rice Pudding was not it for me, I just couldn't get into it. Too sweet for me and too much going on. I think it would have been better with just 1-2 of the adjuncts. Macadamia Fudge was really good IMO, not overly sweet. PB Chocolate I still have to crack. I got a 4 of SBX this weekend while I was out, looking forward to cracking one of those tonight!

Now that is is confirmed they will be doing the outdoor beer tent again, I wonder if they will have the taproom open as well and if so if I can walk out and around with my beer. Hopefully this also means they will be open for pours more than just Sat/Sun again
