anyone know what a pub keg of head high goes for? i'm assuming they're fit regular D couplers right? its just the style of the keg is the plastic instead of the standard metal sixtel

Got one a couple months ago - $95 plus a $30 cash deposit. And yes standard coupling.

This might be the best batch of Citra I've ever had

Grabbed a growler of Citra today from Kelly's in Belleville. Man, that was fantastic. If I could get that in cans all summer, I'd probably only drink that...and Boat. Great stuff Kane!

The newest addition to our HopLab series will be on tap at the brewery starting tonight during tour and tasting hours. HopLab: Waimea is a 6.8% southern hemisphere IPA brewed new hop varietals from New Zealand and Australia. We used Wakatu and Waimea hops in the kettle and whirlpool and heavy doses of Waimea and Galaxy in the drop hop. All three hops contribute heavily to the citrus and piney flavors and tropical fruit aromas.

Simplicity has always been outstanding for me, on my top 3 Kane regulars for sure.

Has Kane canned anything since their first batch of Head High? If not, anyone know why?

They have not. We think it's because a lot of complaints about the taste of the Head High cans. They may be waiting to can their own beers for QC issues.

    No they haven't.
There was some inconsistencies with the cans. They decided not to use mobile canning again. Nesting canning run won't be until their canning line is up and running

I had a growler of the Hop Lab Waimea over the weekend and wow, what a hazy beer. If my memory serves me right this is definitely the haziest and juiciest beer they have throw out there. Their hop lab line continues to impress!

Something must be wrong with me, I didn't enjoy Waimea as much as most people seem to have.

I did really enjoy their Port Omna Coconut though. A lot.

Honesty the POs were not a hit for me, I had to really try hard to taste the flavor variants..... Although, I dont really care for the regular PO as its not a style of beer I like, so its hard to be too judgmental.

I'm with you on not liking the Waimea as much as other hop labs.

Port Omna honestly sort of grew on me. I've enjoyed the variants a little more but not all.
The Milk Chocolate and Coconut were good for me, the rest I could easily pass on.

I tried the Port Omna Kreamsickle and thought it was fantastic. Had Hop Lab Citra on tap two days ago and agree it tasted better than I remember the first time, by a lot. I wanna get there to try the Coconut version before it's gone.
