    Kane Brewing: http://www.kanebrewing.com/

Address: 1750 Bloomsbury Ave, Ocean Township, NJ 07712
We are located behind the Ocean Plaza Shopping Center off Route 35.

Tap Room Hours: Thursday: 5 pm to 8 pm, Friday: 5 pm to 8 pm, Saturday: 12 pm to 7 pm, Sunday: 12 pm to 5 pm

Tours: Tours of the brewery are given at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Guided tours last approximately 15-20 minutes. Self-guided tours are continuously available during our Tour and Tasting hours. No charge

They DO NOT allow any tour buses, limousines, party groups, bachelor or bachelorette parties, etc. in the brewery for tours and tastings. We have limited space and do not have the staff to handle large unexpected groups even with a prior reservation.

Current Tap List: Facebook is updated before retail hours with current Tap List. Year round beers includes Head High, Overhead and Single Finn.

Growler Fills: Beer prices vary depending on style but range from $7-$20+. The cost of the growler is an additional $10 for one-liter, and $12 for two-liter. Yes, Kane fills growlers from other breweries as long as it has a government warning, labeled volume, and a Kane Brewing Co. sticker can be applied for regulatory compliance.

Can and Bottles Sales: Limited release 750ml bottles for sale at the brewery as well as cans. Check Facebook (must have Facebook account), Twitter, or Instagram for up to date list. Solitude, our 9.2% Belgian-style dark strong ale, will now be available at the brewery in 750ml bottles on an (almost) year-round basis.

They offer a few varieties of their beer to be purchased in sixtel (5.2 gallon kegs). In addition to the cost of the beer, there is a $30 cash deposit required for the keg that will be refunded upon its return.

Kane Gear: Kane branded growlers, glasses, hats and t-shirts are available in the tap room. They also have an online store at https://squareup.com/market/kanebrewing

Kids and Dogs: Minors are welcome as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. No pets.

Went to a tiny place in Neptune, The Grand Tavern, last night. They do small plates and larger entrees - and had super-fresh Head High on tap.

Extremely highly recommended, it was one of the best meals I've had since I moved down here. We started with a salad and then I had the hanger steak while my date had the pork chop. I had no idea a pork chop could be so good. Not cheap, but you nerds pay $30 for milkshake beers anyway.

On a similar note, consider adding AP's Speakeatery under 'nearby food' as it has lots of takeout options and comes similarly recommended!

Love the food selections. Thanks for the heads up @kthoag. I've been looking for some more options around that area.

My pleasure - I have lot of suggestions! We've been trying to eat our way around the area recently.

Thai Basil in Bradley is excellent, semi-long wait esp. on weekends but BYOB (Alien Church goes great with Thai btw). Riggs in Avon is BYOB as well, seafood+outdoor. Pasta Volo in Asbury is homemade takeout pasta with Chipotle-style ordering. Two of the nicest ladies on Earth run Pasta Volo.

Have you had / can you compare to AP's At The Table? Their fried chicken is tasty

Great recommendation @kthoag, their drink menu is one of the best around. The menu changes very regularly based on what they get in stock.

As a lifelong local I can add some other non-traditional recommendations-

    Belmar-
twisted tapas - BYOB, great tasting menu, nice outdoor patio in the back
stay gold cafe- BYOB, small tapas, great outdoor seating in front for people watching
Rajin Cajun- BYOB, amazing creole food. the desserts here are KILLER

    Avon -
Clementine's- BYOB, killer food and menu

    Asbury Park-
Plaza tapita - located on main street. my personal choice for best mexican in town
Barrio Cosstero - pricey, mexican tapas, decent beer selection and very good craft cocktails

    Bradley Beach-
The buttered Biscuit - hands down best breakfast in the area
Daniel's Bistro - small but fresh food and highly recommended

Barrio Costero is pricey, but very good. They have an ex-Kane employee working behind the bar as well. They usually do a pretty good job at keeping some Kane on taps as well. Their margaritas are so good too.

The Buttered Biscuit is the best breakfast spot in this county. At least I believe so. It's BYOB, so you can bring your Sunday Brunch or Morning Bell bottles and share with your breakfast.

The jalapano Marg ar Barrio is my go to.

    Also

McCan's in Belmar. Their Garlic steak is fantastic. Hole in the wall place to go but it is really well known by locals

If you are going to Porta for pizza may I make a recommendation. Talula's Pizza on Cookman Ave! Its right around the corner from Porta, and in my opinion, much better and affordable.

Well, I'll be there for the weekend so maybe I need to try both. My GF has never had Porta and I rave about it so I have to get that. If Talula is open Sunday that might be in the cards. Thanks for the rec!

Cheers, my date tried two cocktails, 'The Adam' and 'The Dove' and both were unbelievably good, even to my ignorant palate for cocktails.

If you love Mexican and haven't had Azteca Restaurant in Belmar, you are missing out. It is superior to Plaza Tapatia to me, even though I actually buy my groceries from Plaza Tapatia.

I've recently discovered Medusa's for pizza in Asbury. I think it's better and cheaper than Porta and Talula's and best part is that it's BYOB! Bring your Kane beer with you

Trying to decide if I should go pick up a few 4 packs of Sneakbox this weekend, or wait until the Thursday before my VA Beach trip (which starts Aug 19th).. I know if I wait I am taking a chance that it will not even be available, but my beer snob side wants to have ultra fresh Sneakbox/Head High for the trip.... Help!

hmm I just looked back through their timeline on Facebook and it looks like from the beginning of June to now there has only been 1 full weekend they didn't have Sneakbox cans. Not sure that helps with the canning schedule though, seems like once a month.

Woah, I'm in Asbury all the time and regularly drive 25 minutes there for lunch (Speakeatery and Crust & Crumble are so good) and I've never heard of Pasta Volo. It looks absolutely freaking amazing. Going there tomorrow. Love great lunch places that aren't sit down.

For a dinner that won't break the bank but is awesome, local, organic, and an awesome tap list Talula's is my absolute favorite
