We poured 1460 at an event maybe 6 months ago I thought it was still great. I havent had many of the others recently. They obviously won't last forever and as we always say we feel they're ready to drink when we release them. You don't *need* to cellar them to make them good. Keep in mind our barrel aged beers are in the barrels a long time, and with anniversary series even older beer is blended in... that being said, We've done a little anniversary gathering at Nip N Tuck in long branch every year and Bob the owner always cracks open a bottle of 365 to celebrate. As of 2016 it was still holding up pretty well...

Sticking to the barrel aged Anniversaries - 1095 had the most complexity: multi-layered dark fruits, licorice, caramel….Followed by 1825, and 1460. 1460 seemed to lean more heavily on the American side; bit more sweater, and more reminiscent of a dark, multifaceted stout. All of which were exceptional with 1095 having a stronger, more tangible Belgian influence.

Kane really shins in this area: Anniv. Brews continuously foray versatility, and depth; never a disappointment, and always something to look forward to…2190

Pardon my ignorance but would this mean no Overhead cans for Saturday? Do they normally release fresh stuff on Saturdays?

For the "regular" stuff, I think they release between Thursday - Saturday. I've seen Sneakbox pop back in on a Thursday. I'm sure if it isn't canned by Friday afternoon, it might not see a release until the following week though, and this is me with zero knowledge basing it on the fact that the taproom is open from 12 - 7 on Saturdays.

I really need to rotate what I have "cellared" and start getting to some of the older stuff before I let it sit too long, Kane and others. Excited for this years anniversary and debating to pop open my last Fifth this year or wait it out. It was so good when I opened the first in Dec!

Same here. I always have these grand ideas to do a crazy vertical, but its difficult to pull off between getting the right crew, number of people, the high abv and large format bottles. I still have a few bottles from when the "corked & caged" series was corked & caged. I should get to those as they're likely oxidized at this point.

I agree. Keep the thread in place for the year. There is no reason to start a new one every month. Same goes for Carton

    Amen!

In other news I picked up my Sneakbox keg today. Now I'm a total keg amateur but they don't give you anything to actually tap it with. What do I do? Where do I go?

Can you get a tap at a local liquor store?

Where are you located? I have one you can borrow. Can't have that keg going to waste!

Call and ask. It' usually a small charge, $10 or so, and requires a deposit until you bring it back. Sometimes they will have keg buckets as well.

Hopefully the line isn't 750 people long by the time I get there around opening.

With the 2 bottle limit I'm thinking these should last a while. I'm hoping to be anle to get some later today.
