Kane Brewing (December 2016)

looking forward to a great year of beer! lucky enough to live relatively close to Kane. Hoping we see Sneakbox and Party Wave first, guess only time will tell! Just hope they dont do anything tomorrow b/c I cant make it there, but I dont think they will

They could drop 2 or 3 cans in one day

 

Instagram has ruined beer in a certain aspect. I honestly think this huge influx is a bandwagon affect that started on IG/Facebook. Just gonna leave it at that cause we could get way off topic with this one. We are lucky to have Kane and Carton in our beautiful state.

 

I would love that. Kane just seems like a place that would rather have 400 cases of one beer as opposed to 200 of each. That way it lasts longer into the day, more ppl get it and less ppl complain. Key word: less. Also keeps hype down which Kane tries to do as much as possible

 

I agree with this, I think they would only do 1 of the small run/limited sticker cans at a time, I could see them overlapping Sneakbox with it possibly since they seem to want it to be a steady can like HH and OH

 

If it's a labeled can then I would imagine going forward they would like to get to a place where they don't even really announce sneak box cans - they are just (almost) always available.

 

The goal is to have Head High, Overhead, and Sneakbox cans generally available with minimal interruptions in supply in the very near future.

The reason for the blank cans with labels is that there are a bunch Hop Lab and other beers (windswell, party wave etc) that we don't have the capacity or in some cases raw materials (read: unusual NZ and other hops) to brew enough of to justify printing cans and clogging up the brewery with pallets upon pallets of cans (if you've been recently you can see that's already the case and Sneakbox cans haven't even arrived yet!) that would take us years to use up.

We've been perfecting some of these hop lab beers for a couple years now with multiple batches on draft, as well as introducing new ones that have been very well received. We have our own canning line that we're using regularly now for multiple brands, and we're very happy with the quality of the cans we're producing and the performance of the line in terms of DO levels etc. We were going to continue tweaking small batch hoppy beers and brewing new IPAs etc for draft of course, but now we'll have the option of the canning them too.

 

CAN't wait!

sneakbox/hoplab citra cans are going to bankrupt me.

if there is one thing i think kane could possibly do in 2017, to out-do the past 2 years they have accomplished, would be more frequent cask conditioned beers at the taproom.
