Superbowl Sunday would be a great time to release something and catch everyone off guard.

 

I'll meet you there haha! I was coming home from NY earlier and checked their FB and saw they didn't post and I was like please don't release something crazy today I'm so far away!!

 

Is it me, or is Party Wave a very solid beer than can compete with some offerings from our friends over in Brooklyn?

 

Party Wave is great. Right up there with anybody

I vote for canning something other than an IPA next. Driftline would be nice, maybe port omna season we will get that too. I love hops as much as the next but really would love something different at some point. Seems that's all we get in the stickered cans any where for the most part.

 

Speaking of Port Omna, wonder if the one big Port Omna event will return this year or theyll release a couple variants a week like they did last year

IMO, no. It is solid, but I think Head High is much better and compares much better in that conversation.

 

If they take the initial Carton approach (who has since added dates...fyi that little dating machine costs thousands) that if they deliver to you and you don't sell out they peel back your order a bit the next time to ensure you only have fresh stuff. I doubt Kane stuff will be sitting anywhere in NJ for a very long time.

 

I shall have to disagree with you. Party Wave is a step above Head High.

 

I don't think it's a question of better or worse it's just preference. I agree with @MakersNeat head high is my favorite. Party wave is great just prefer a thirst quenching IPA over the turbid yeasty NE style IPAs

 

Well, he did say that Head High was more apt to hold its own vs. other IPA's I.e it is their best IPA. I have to say that it is not their best IPA now that Party Wave came on the scene.

I've had a strange relationship with Head High. At the beginning of my beer journey, I was meh about it. Somewhere in the middle when I wanted ABV-bombs, I was meh about it. Whenever I went to a bar and the only option was Head High, I'd get it, excited to get it, but not really caring for it at that WOW level. Now that I've settled in and have had "world class" IPA's from all over the US, I love it. I can appreciate it now that I've achieved almost my final form as a beer drinker. Just last night, I had to face the look of disappointment from my wife when the fridge had no Kane beers in there.
