I was there at 6:45 and they had PLENTY of both cans. One thing that I guess was coming is that they raised the price of Head High 4 packs to $14 up from $12. It was good while it lasted! I was wondering with the high prices of Party Wave and Third Reef... not that they aren't deserving of those prices (Party Wave is one of my favorites) but Head High at $12 was such a great price. Was wondering how Sneak Box could be priced higher but it was $14 too.

It was a low price enjoyed it while it lasted. Now it's probably at where it should be.

 

Hmm weird, you would think with the canning line and that it doesn't use and expensive hops would keep that price low. I know it will get me bashed but that kinda pushed it for me as now it's in the Oh dub price which to me is better, I loved my session ,boat $10, ipa head high $12, and double 007xxx $13

 

I agree with this. Head high was at the top of my value list and now its just mixed in with every other craft beer and Carton rises to the top.

Just curious, anyone know how much a 64oz growler of Head High is? I wanna say that used to be $12 but i could be hugely mistaken. Curious if its now less than 4pk price or same price

 

I'll take Head High over Odub all day everyday. It's just a better more drinkable beer.

Head high is the best IPA in NJ (session, single, double, triple) yea I said it. I buy kegs to keep on tap on my kegerator then I buy other cans of IPAs and just wish I was drinking a head high the whole time.
Btw does anyone know if Kane has brewed a Belgian tripel in the past? I love that style and would really like to taste Kane's interpretation.

 

Head High is great. I personally prefer Over Head but that comes to splitting hairs as I generally prefer DIPA's. Either way, Kane knows how to brew terrific IPA's.

 

Yep it's significantly better than ODub for me. In fact, it's not really close. But there's no reason it should be more expensive. Hope this isn't a trend at Kane. The days of $6 flights may be dwindling

 

In happy news. Hop Lab Citra in cans is so so so so so so so so so so so so so so good. I love this beer so much. I can't imagine summer with this in cans regularly.

Tonight was the first time I'd ever seen Kane on draft in NYC. Prob just for As is's anniversary but would be nice to see it more often

I believe (correct me anyone if I'm wrong) Mike Kane in an interview once said he would like to service all of the state to his standards before moving beyond its borders, a la New Glarus.

While I prefer HH I don't know if they're really comporable. Dub is much more bitter, malty and "traditional" (not NE) east coast than HH.

 

Also they're not comparable because Dub is a double IPA while Head High is a single. If anything, the more appropriate comparison would be with IDIPA.

 

Have they put a "canned on date " on HEAD High or Sneak Box cans yet?
