Just echoing what others have said.. '17 SB is outstanding. It is definitely a bit more coffee-forward than last year's (and lighter on the cinnamon), but the maple/chocolate sweetness is very present and makes for a crazy drinkable beer. Other than maybe some of the Double Shot variants, I can't say I've had a better non-BA stout/porter.

I had never had SB and I just happen to be heading to brewery on Saturday so I lucked out. I'm also superstitious about drinking beer immediately after traveling with it but I couldn't resist the urge to crack one of these bad boys when I got home from the shore right now and wow.

Truly one of the best brews I've ever had. Each sip is better than the last. Nothing overpowers the other. The alcohol, chocolate, coffee, cinnamon and maple blend together so nicely. I'm smitten

Yep it looks like Word Art or Clip Art whatever it was called from like 5th grade computer class when you saved it to a floppy disk. The beer inside is good so I don't really care, but I've had the same thoughts about their labels as well lol

i agree on the labels being kind of lame but the beer is good so oh well... it'll probably change again with time so no real issue... but yeah not a good visually looking font etc..

Does anyone think we will see any more proper Kane cans in the future? I would love to see Night Swimming in cans and available all the time but I doubt Pilsner would do to well. My bet is on Party Wave.

possibly... by proper you mean where the can is the beer.. or not a sticker.? HH/OH/SneakBox regularly has to occupy a bunch of tank space a lot of the time... and there is a large demand for those be it can or draft... not sure if they'll add a 4th but party wave or night swimming would be great... I'd vote for Ripple but doubt it'll happen since getting the hops frequently enough to order that many blank cans probably isn't wise... I like the way things are going when a new sticker can seems to drop 1-2 times a month... great balance of new offerings in cans and the standards are available often too... Kane is moving and grooving in 2017!

I'd think Party Wave would be the next Kane beer to get a proper can. I don't see it with anything else. Night Swimming would be nice, but much less pils-nerds out there like myself.

If they ever canned Christian Patrick proper... game over for me. I'd buy cases.

Port Omni b/c @ 6% any given month works for a (solid) stout; Omni Day for variants

Wonder what happened to the idea of having Solitude available in bottles year round

I think Glenn explained that they would be semi-available. I just think they are being bought at a quicker pace than expected. Normally Solitude would just take forever to sell, but I think Kane's at the point where anything will go fast just based on name recognition alone.

He talked about it on this reddit thread:

Actually they're gone because they moved faster than we thought. Being the first time they were available in bottles it was tough to predict how they'd move. Considering it's not a style that's in high demand, we guessed they'd move slow and planned for that. When they sold out sooner than expected, altering the already crammed brew calendar to get them back in stock wasn't an option. But we'll have them back at some point.

Hopefully the fact that Party Wave is the only stickered-can brand we've done three batches of demonstrates our affinity for it and our effort to brew it as often as possible. Adding a brand to the year round lineup, especially in cans, has a lot of logistical concerns that go with it - space in the brew calendar, supply of those particular hops, and storage of 150,000 cans etc - so we'll just have to see. But we like the beer a lot.

well with the finback collab and SB release last week, the hype should be down a little bit.

depending on the weather i may take a ride down, could use some more SB/HH/OH cans.

Night Swimming and Party Wave or any of the recent sticker releases would be great as a regular in proper cans, but my vote would go to Sea Cow.

I love Kane but definitely don't get the Night Swimming love. I had it last year on draft (I think it was the first batch) and even for a lager I was pretty underwhelmed.

Obv it's a collab so get why it can't happen but Sea Cow is so so so so good. That and Waimea Punch are tied for my favorite sticker cans so far. But Sea Cow prob gets the edge for being able to be drank in summer heat without limits. Incredible beer

I like Sea Cow, but if I'm going to have a juicy, refreshing pale ale, I'm reaching for Sneak Box over Sea Cow. Not saying one is bad and the other isn't, just I prefer one over the other.
