Their Facebook post says cans are available so you should be good to go.
    Enjoy!

Is it safe to say the initial can craze has slowed for Head High and we will be able to grab these anytime?

Unless glenn comes on here and gives some information anyone else would just be guessing. Its summer, its the jersey shore, everyone north driving south will drop in and get a case, people going home north will get a case, people in and around Ocean County will get cases.

Has the trade currency wave of purchasing gotten softer: sure. Will there be demand, hell yes. Will there be supply, only Kane can say.

#1: I was there yesterday and saw people grabbing by the case. Not sure what demand is because summer but....

#2 Even though I get cans, for some reason I'm always impressed when I crack one open. I continually underestimate how good it is because it's so available to me.

As others have hinted at, it's a beer supply issue. We have our own line now and can theoretically can whenever we want. But Head High is our best seller among our several hundred draft customers and Overhead is brewed all the time and we're doing out best to have Citra Pale Ale all the time now. Throw in a few seasonals and hop labs and the available tank space is spoken for pretty quickly. We are obviously committed to canning and are working batches of Head High into the brew calendar that are earmarked for canning, but can't do that often enough to ensure a 100% uninterrupted supply of Head High. Those big 80bbls tanks will address that issue, and we are working hard to get them online asap. However that extra capacity has caused us to outgrow some of the associated equipment (like our glycol chiller) so there's a lot more work involved now in adding new tanks then they're used to be i.e. new space, new utility connections, chiller capacity etc. so it takes time. But it's our #1 priority. So we will continue to have cans as often as possible, but there are likely to be some gaps until everything's totally up and running in the new space.

Very happy to hear it's drinking so well. Has the recipe evolved a bit over the last 5 years? of course. Have their been wholesale or significant changes? No. We've laughed a couple times about the haziness comments. Head High has always been hazy... 5 years ago we used to get complaints from bars who thought there was something wrong with it. I can promise you we've never made any tweak with the end goal of increasing haziness/cloudiness.

$12/4pk for 16oz cans of a fresh local IPA is good enough reason to keep demand high

I'm just glad it's being canned. I would never get a growler fill because it was never the "sexy" choice on the board and I frequent a few bars that always have it. But the cans have made me rediscover my love for it as an IPA, specially after now having had so many different ones in the past two years.

It's a great problem to have.

I would imagine it's their own yeast strain, I think most breweries have their own, at least the good ones.

White Labs Dry English (007) I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong, @glennl.

You guys are taking advantage of me... now you want me to reveal closely guarded recipe secrets?! Luckily I'm not a brewer and can plausibly deny knowing what yeast we use in Head High, but it's not 007 - though it was at one time, many years ago.

Random, but I just opened a Vengeful Heart. God damn, wish I bought more than one. Amazing beer. Next year I need to try it fresher but this was amazing beer.

New HopLab on tap this weekend for the Fourth of July holiday. HopLab: Simcoe Session is a hoppy session ale brewed with a similar hop and malt profile as Overhead, but at a way more sessionable 4.9% ABV. We used a combination of Simcoe, Amarillo and Cascade hops in all steps of the brewing process and added honey malt for some additional body. Perfect beer for the warm Fourth of July weekend. It will be on tap at the brewery all weekend for samples and growler fills during our tour and tasting hours.

As much as I'd love to have seen Ripple, I think I'll enjoy this Hop Lap Simcoe Session.
