Early sellout prob somewhat attributed to the linehards. How many were waiting at 11?

I got there at 11:50 or so and there really was not that many people in front of me. I would say people showed up in hordes between 11:50 and 12:15.

90 cases at half-case limit, guess that doesn't really go all that far.

Oh well, Sneakbox and Head High are drinking very nicely at least.

A lot of the people in line were waiting for Sunday Brunch. Saw a woman arguing with her husband or boyfriend because apparently he had heard that "for sure" it'd be today.

I was just in line hoping for Party Wave. Still a nice treat. Just crazy how people were lined up talking about Sunday Brunch.

I mean, Kane did say on Reddit that there is no regularly scheduled releases with a few exceptions. SB wasn't one of those exceptions.

i hope people keep thinking it'll be next weekend and then it's not so they... gasp... have to try other kane beers... shit... people need to take it easy... when they do MB or SB or Mexi Brunch they generally do like 2-4k bottles and the limits are pretty high and it normally last till 2:30 - 5:30 or somewhere in that range

last year for SB i think I got there at some-point past 5 pm and got my allotment... mexi brunch lasted awhile too but a lot double/tripled up on that.. think it made it till 3-4 even with that action... when did MB run out this year... 3-4?

So not really complaining since Head High holds up really well, but I was a little disappointed when I realized after I got home that the Head High cans I had picked up the other day at the brewery were dated 5/23/2017. Didn't think they sat around that long.

I got some of the last Mexican Brunch bottles a little after 5pm. Was really surprised it lasted that long.

The problem with this is that it's another year gone by, so the "hype" has had time to make its way through social media and word of mouth. I did the same thing last year. I showed up at 4 PM-ish and grabbed the allotment of 6 bottles of Sunday Brunch.

I have a feeling that next round, I'll have to get there by 3. And if I'm thinking that, I'm sure many others would do the same. If I am trying to guess between 2:30 - 5:30... I'll always choose 2:30 and I won't be the only one.

I missed out on Morning Bell purchase by a matter of minutes at around 2 PM - 3 PM (can't remember well). That's never happened to me before. Everyone that misses out is another person that'll show up earlier and earlier for releases regardless of whether there is something or not. Especially if MB is announced at 8 AM again, for the next time.

I think the worst part of my experience yesterday where people openly frustrated while doing the line, once it was announced it was DDH Sneakbox. There was a voice of entitlement from a few stragglers criticizing Kane because "rumors" of Sunday Brunch weren't true. DDH Sneakbox was announced at about 11:55 PM and there were already about 50 people in line. I can't imagine if it'd actually drop and they announced it at 11:30 AM.

Would be interesting if they did a surprise Sunday drop. A noon Sunday announcement would lead to very limited lines because it would be totally unexpected.

I'm still a little surprised I was late for a sticker can release at 2:10.

I had a similar thought and checked Instagram at noon "Just in case."

People who CHOOSE to line up early and bring this sort entitlement and line/chair mentality to NJ have only themselves to blame when things they ASSUMED were dropping do not.

Been in the beer scene for about 2 decades now. The beer has only gotten better. The mentality, not as much.

That's not typical... there were fewer cases of this than we normally do.

thanks Glenn for this info. Glad this wasn't typical, I'll definitely hit you guys up more frequently.

Just not about driving 1+ hours in shore traffic to sit in line at 11:30 in hopes of something haha, leaving 12:30-1 for a regular can release where i can just walk in and grab a few 4pks is more my style.

It's pretty rare that there is any type of line at Kane before opening unless there is a rumor that one of their hot bottles is dropping.

Thanks for the clarification all. Wasn't sure if it was an Other Half type scene or more spur of the moment.

Planning to come by either way but I likely won't carry so much on me unless I can coordinate in advance.

    Cheers!
