Hoping for something like shades of Eureka's flavor profile.

I don't remember if it was you or someone else, but someone posted about this place a couple weeks ago and I got to finally try a delightful growler of overhead earlier this week because of it, so I had to say thanks.

It was me. I try to update here if they have something new from Kane.
Glad you liked Overhead. Tremendous beer.

Off topic had Rook coffee, which Kane uses, for the first time yesterday (Sumatra). Really excellent coffee smooth and almost no bitterness. Worth the extra stop in the area if you're a coffee fan as well.

Rook is amazing. Guatemala for the light roast fans and the cold brew is great as well. DDH Single Fin was tasty and Vanilla was one of the better variants (no milk chocolate though).

Second the rook comment and I'm more of a coffee snob than beer snob. Some great stuff.

I've become a huge coffee snob as well, to the point where I can't even drink most generic coffees anymore. Rook is great, but also not far from Kane is Turnstile Coffee in Belmar and that is most definitely worth checking out if you're really into coffee. Roast everything in store, the owner is super knowledgeable and it's really really really great coffee. Best in NJ by a mile

Thanks for the advice and I'm with you. We got a place like that in south jersey called harvest coffee. If you ever come across their stuff I highly recommend. Sorry for hijacking the thread. I know it's a beer message board not coffee. Cheers.

Not sure where you are getting your information but according to Kane's Facebook posts it didnt. Plus they are open Fri, Sat and Sunday. They released it on a Saturday and even if a few cases made it the following Friday that would be just their normal 3 business days or 1 week.

Does anyone realize they removed hop lab citra from their list yesterday? That is strange

Yea thats a bummer. Wonder if it was a bad batch or more likely someone just posting to FB in error?

Went to Kane over the weekend for the first time. Had an amazing experience. Couldn't have picked a better time to go with all the port omna variants being released recently. Got to try the regular and 6 of the variants. Really loved the port omna coffee and nitro coffee. Straight up cold brew flavor. Two of the highlights were Holy Nights and the Hop Lab Citra (which was an added bonus since it wasn't available on tap that day but spoke to some of the right people). Holy Nights was the perfect blend of coffee, vanilla, and coconut with the barrel aged character and my oh my was that Citra juicy!!

This is really interesting... so it wasn't a bad batch that had to be dumped.

I was told that it isn't ready yet and needs another week to settle/condition. They were originally going to put it on because Simplicity kicked and Triple is getting low. So, maybe this Friday?
