*Disclaimer* I am not in charge of running this event. But my understanding is same address is not a problem. There's no "one entry per household" rule that I am aware of. If you have 2 or more different people living at the same address, all of whom have unique identification and enter separately into the lottery, they'd all be eligible to win. just keep in mind the winner has to show up themselves to pickup. You can't pick up for your wife if she wins or vice versa.

hopefully any non claimed bottles will appear one saturday with no notice with a 1 pp limit total like was done when DB tead was announced and extra bottles of the release were available.. hell i remember a few people there that day that purchased a nilla or coconut instead of the DB since you had to pick 1 kind and a lot missed out on any so picking Nilla or Coconut made sense to them over DB which nobody had yet tried.. mmmm DB

was a little shocked to see no return of Coffee.. interested to see how the rye whiskey tastes, hopefully if i don't land any somebody i know will and be down to open a rye whiskey

It's still a lottery they have to win. Wouldn't there be much more muling with a line situation?

antead announcement day is one of my favorite days. right up there next to the day the lottery winners are announced and the "fans that have been keeping Kane's lights on since day one" lose the lottery and announce how they will no longer go to kane because of how outlandish it is they were not entitled to an allotment

The Eventbrite lottery is definitely the way to go so I give Kane credit for that.
Packaging the 5 bottles together for what will be $150 though I think will promote reselling and incentivize that bad element of the craft beer world to take advantage of others on the trade forums. I'd like to see them sell these in 2 packs as I think most of us would be happy to win a pot luck with any of the 2 varieties and that would spread the wealth a little bit.

By my account compared to previous years Kane is already spreading the wealth. Previous years have allowed a single person to purchase a lot more than 5 bottles. I don't know about 2013, I wasn't there. But in 2014 you could buy a case per variant (24 bottles per person) until limits got tighter as they ran out. In 2015 a person who got in to buy a ticket could purchase two full allotments (8 bottles per person). This year it's a single allotment of 5 per person, which in my opinion is discouraging reselling as you only get one of each variant. Not to mention, if you happen to win, feel free to spread the wealth yourself and hook your buddies up with your extra bottles if you only want 2. I know I gave away a full allotment to a friend in 2015 as an Xmas gift.

I'm going to chime in with my two cents. I agree the lottery is the best way all around and the only way I'm going to get bottles. There was no chance of me joining a line for what would be a total shit show. However, I did put my name in so my odds just increased, however slightly.

I was one to be fortunate enough to get the BPT last year and honestly think this Eventbrite lottery is the absolute best solution so kudos to Kane. I honestly think though that Mike should really consider a club or membership at this point for the locals that feel entitled to getting every release. It would resolve the butt hurt and reward those locals that support the brewery majority of the time. Just my $.02 and GL to everyone!

Not if the extra bottles are silently re-released. Then nobody can complain.

It would be interesting to know if they have more or less sets available than the previous ANTEAD release.

Exactly my thoughts. They seem to do their best to accommodate the locals with the silent releases so I'd assume this could happen again. That said, I hope a bunch of people from across the country enter the lottery and neglect to pick up their bottles.

I'm good with the lottery. I'm 15 minutes from kane and can make every release by them announcing it right before opening. I've gotten everything they've done as far back as I can remember. With that said, I'd still like to be picked. :grinning: Good job Kane.

Even if far out of staters win and don't show I'm sure Kane will find a way to get these no shows release back out which is going to be easier for locals to be able to snag if they didn't get a lottery ticket. Assuming I get shut out I'll be hoping something like that happens.

Big thanks to @glennl for answering a lot of questions today to the best he can as well!

Lastly would be down for some type of membership since I find myself at Kane almost every sat anyways!
