Kane Brewing (May 2016)

I agree they will already be crowded for the weekend but the thought process to release today is ideal. Not only will the regulars get it but the people who planned kane into their jersey shore mdw vacation trip will get the benefit of trying something the would otherwise never get their hands on. Not to mention that beloved jersey shore Holiday weekend traffic would keep all the traders and mules away.

 

Let's be very clear here - no one stated "locals and regulars deserve stuff". If you read my post, I clearly state in the first sentence "I actually thought today would be the perfect day to release if you want to benefit locals and regulars." I'm a former local who has since moved up to North Jersey so I agree with the sentiment of your post as, if there is a release today, I will not be participating.

 

That's ok. I'm more tired of people immediately falling back on the "entitled" insult any time anyone wishes they could actually buy beer breweries near them put out a beer. For the record, I'm not a Kane local.

 

Was there today. Seemed to have more than enough head high cans, plus a boatload of empties. Impression was they have more than enough to go around. Were selling them at the counter too, instead of a separate line.

Also havent been in a while. I like the way they have opened up the back to make more room

 

I'm getting equally as tired hearing this reply anytime someone remotely hints at it. Some of us were at this brewery keeping the lights on when the conversation was this, "what are you drinking?" "Kane Head High." "What's Kane?" Not that we feel entitled but when you watch something you love grow up you still want to be a part of it, get it?

The only no more no less here is that people are entitled to an opinion and shouldn't be jumped and labeled a whiner or entitled when they voice dissapointment with the current state of something. I still think Kane could be doing a lot more to improve. Head High cans being around are a step in the right direction, and hey, I called yesterday and someone answered the phone!

 

I went to Kane yesterday at about 5 minutes before open since I was going to a friends house in Toms River and wanted to stop by to grab some growlers. There was about 70 people lined up outside of Kane, the parking lot filled with PA, NY and CT license plates (not everyone I'm sure). I said to the guy in line what's with the congregation, and he said "you never know when Kane will have a Saturday release". Really? These people having nothing better to do every Saturday than to loiter on Kanes property?

 

More evidence as to why Kane should start something similar to Bruery's Reserve/Hoarders Society

 

They could also just start altering their releases between Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

 

Or Kane keeps these releases silent. If I owned a brewery and had 70 people lining up at opening, I'd be so happy.

 

If you ask me they're smart. These ppl anticipating releases aren't just going to leave. They will spend their money on other stuff Kane wishes to move. Announcing releases and having hundreds line up and drink all morning, come in drunk grab their one bottle and leave is exactly what they don't want. ::Cough OtherHalf cough::

 

They are Trying to be a good neighbor and avoid having lines around the block.

 

Are they spending money? I don't know. Plenty of them probably hit the road when they here there's no Mexican brunch

 

Wildly arrogant mindset.

 

I'm not sure arrogant is a great fit here. Maybe loyal or supportive.

If they had a, "believers club" I guess nobody would bat an eye lash.

Either way, I'm entitled to an opinion whether it fits the majority opinion or not.

 

Be there a quick sec on Thursday for some Head High cans. Missed me some Kang.
