If you only had one wife maybe you wouldn't have to buy a case!

I'm a Kane fan but I'm baffled. Pizza Boy Sunny Side Up (regular or BBA) is a superior coffee stout yet sits on their shelves for weeks. I really don't get it. There are shelf beers like Parabola and KBS that are easy to get that are also superior to Morning Bell IMO.

I would strongly disagree about Sunnyside Up.

Where are you that Parabola and KBS are shelf beers?

You are comparing Barrel aged Stouts with a Milk Porter that doesn't see a barrel.

I was about to ask the same thing. KBS and Parabola aren't as rare as they were a few years ago around here but I still wouldn't consider them easy to get.

Lol you guys got me. Damn it I was always crap with grammar! Nope one wife is more then enough for me...! Cracked a bottle tonight and its drinking fantastic. Others in line with me were doing similar things to me. We are the dumb ones standing in the rain while our smart 'friends' get their bottles.

Fair enough on the BBA comparison (although regular SSU is not BBA and I would prefer it to Morning Bell), but I have never had an issue getting KBS or Parabola. Sure, it doesn't sit on the shelf for weeks but I've never had to wait in line for it and as long as you know the schedule you can usually score some pretty easily (at least in my area - central PA).

For what it's worth, on this very site Sunny Side Up has a 96 rating versus a 94 for Morning Bell so I'm not alone.

I'm not saying Sunnyside Up is bad. It is very good and it has been a while since I have had some.

looking forward to when BB MB hits.. think they put some in rye barrels if my memory of the barrels that used to line the wall is correct... shame to see they weren't there anymore.. loved reading the labels and learning what was happening in the barrel game at Kane

I'd be willing to bet a good percentage of people in line for Morning Bell got shut out from ANTEAD and viewed this as their consolation prize. Who knows though. With crazy lines at Magnify, Other Half and Kane all in the same short time frame it seems the demand is infinite. As @DrStiffington stated the scene has gotten so crazy the chase is no longer as much fun as it used to be.

STRONG in the coffee this year. I'd say moreso than last year just off of memory. Real tasty

I can't fathom waiting on line in the rain this morning, getting in the car, driving and waiting in the rain a second time.
I am sure that there are more than a couple of people that spent at least 3 hours today standing in the rain so they could buy beer.

I respectfully disagree with the ratings on here and other sites. The whole bell/brunch series has an insane fluffy mouthfeel to me that just takes it to another level. Morning is my favorite coffee stout/Porter and I've had them all. I'm a coffee addict and I I'm obsessed with rook, and a total Kane fanboy. This beer for me is like when your two favorite superheroes team up and do dope shit

Love this beer and love Rook as well. I went and waited in line, got there like 1145 b/c I wasn't getting there any earlier. I did get the full case, but normally I wouldn't have. I think more people might have b/c of the wait in the bad weather. I personally did because I had everyone asking me if I could help them out with getting some so I will prob end up only keeping 3 or 4 myself after I give some to friends and cousins.

I normally am not much of a chatty person in line and just keep to myself, but yest i ended up talking to a bunch of people since we all we wishing the weather was not that bad lol. I think maybe Kane thought less people would show up with the weather so the higher limit wouldn't cause as quick of a sell out. I think I recall one of the works saying there was around 450 or so cases bottled

The kane regular lineup, including regularly available cans of head high, overhead and/or sneak box are worth the trip alone. Plus carton is close enough and they have been well stocked lately too.

Sunday Brunch (2016) still on tap. And it's a nice day out, as well. Looking forward to drop by later after visiting Ship Bottom and actually get a pour of Vengeful Heart this time.
