Fear not... people are drinking more head high than ever. They're just not talking about drinking it.

I was so happy to get head high (and sneakbox!) as I was passing through last weekend and then happy again to find head high fresh in Cape May!

Everything Kane does is so good. People sleep on their beers.

@glennl was wondering if you, or anyone else, could explain what makes a beer part of Kane’s “punch” series. Was at the brewery yesterday and Mandarina and Mosaic seem to be total different beers. If I picked up mosaic punch and then later bought Mandarina expecting a similar style, I have to say I’d of been a little disappointed. Granted the abv was a dead giveaway that they were going to be vastly different. Was Mandarina more of a “double” version than the traditional punch?

Mosaic punch is absolutely one of my all time favorites. It is the perfect balance of a traditional IPA and juice bomb. Somehow it retains a crispsness that Head high has, while still being pillowy & fruit forward. I was pleasantly surprised by Mandarina. Was reasonably well disguised for nearly 10%. But a 4oz tasting was all I could do, just too boozy for me.

funny, I didn't realize the ABV difference... had both side by side and felt the same about mandarina, but thought they were same abv.. makes more sense now..

I thought they were "punches" because of the fruit blends in the recipe

I think that's more or less it. There's no real strict set of criteria to be labeled a "punch"... fruited ipa is probably the only requirement. From there it could be imperial or not, have lactose or not, different hops, etc.

Thanks @glennl - it’s always said but appreciate having a Kane rep here to keep us informed. I’ll be hunting down more mosaic punch until all those kegs kick. Incredible stuff

Easily one of my favorite Kane brews.

Opened a Bourbon Picture in Reverse last night. Poured very flat with little/no carb out of the bottle. Not sure what I was expecting but it hard sort of a Belgium with that raiseny traste to it.. for some reason i just was not a fan, but i do appreciate kane exploring more styles

I loved bba pic in reverse, more so than object permanence. Though I can't speak to whether it hit the style notes I am not that sophisticated.

As far as carbonation, it was definitely not flat, and I wouldn't even say low carb. Odd

Any info would be appreciated. Cheers!

Well aware, my friend. I've had a few ANTEADs. Acquired by sending pastry stouts up north to Jersey in exchange for said ANTEADs =)

But in all seriousness, not all of FLA have mule teams and bathe in pastry stout but I understand the stereotype and I am a Florida beer nerd so have at it. I asked bc I was curious about an amazing beer that I had not seen any info on in a while. Cheers!

Yes, my friend. You want to slowly start marinating the pastry into your pores for maximum effect!
