that is pretty rowdy! I held onto a growler of Port Omna Coconut in 2016 from like April to June with no drop off. Darker beers will likely stay longer than anything IPA wise, I'd be curious to see what happened to an IPA kept that long. I have kept OH growlers for well over a month with no issue due to the counter pressure fill

 

Might be hanging out at Kane no Wednesday and Friday with the early openings.

 

Held onto a fill of Ship Wreck for a little over a year. However, that didn’t age as nicely as the Brunch, which was surprising considering the extra treatment/packaging/fill Ship Wreck gets; the profile was cardboard through and through.

As far as IPA wise:

The longest maybe a little over a month, with a HF fill of Abner, which was phenomenal. That being said, one would be hard-pressed to hold onto an IPA for further experimentation/longevity, but if restricted to Kane taps then perhaps Parhelion would be the best bet

 

Selling freshly emptied barrels today. Online sale this week or next for something seems likely. What could it be ?!?!

The timing seems about right, and the only reason I know is because my wife keeps insisting we buy a barrel... every single week, which seems like quite the task to do in our sedans.

 

possibly making my usual thanksgiving eve trip to get a pour and a growler filled, see yall there

 

Has anyone purchased an empty barrel from Kane? Or does anyone know if the ones they are selling for $75 are branded like the ones in the brewery or just simply plain empty barrels? Thanks

 

going to be in the area this Saturday. Any guesses what will be available?

 

Packaged beer? Almost certainty Overhead, Head High, Sneakbox

 

This saturday will also be 3 weeks since their last sticker can/bottle release. I wouldn't be surprised if something is released - but has HeyLady mentioned definitely HH and Sneakbox - i've had mixed luck with Overheard being available, so I don't get my hopes up on that one.

FWIW it seems like every time they got 3-4 weeks without a release, we get something "special." Are they bottling Fall Saints or Object Permanence this year? I suppose it's a little late in the season for the former. (Silent nights?)

 

When I was in a few weeks ago and sampled the BA Fall Saints I asked about regular Fall Saints and they said it wasn't being made this year. I could definitely go for a nice dark Belgian or quad though. Sacre Couer was great.
