this is a class move by Kane. I wish breweries like Bottle Logic could take a page out of Kane's book. The Byzantine Vision should've been handled this way as well, when the people have tickets, the refund should be automatic.

Maybe the left over bottles shop up for on consumption at the brewery. Something they have never done before.. could be a cool experiment for them

Wow, so unnecessary! Looks like a new hoodie, Tshirt and Stainless Steel Growler will be coming home with me next visit!

Same for me. It was a completely different beer 1 week after I bought them. Coulda just been a bad bunch of cans but the friends I shared them with all said it tasted faded.

Wait, Kane is completely refunding Mexican Brunch and not asking for the bottles back or anything? I just got refunded via Eventbrite and I had no intention of asking for one. I plan on drinking these beers and if they are completely undrinkable then I could see bringing the other 4 back to the brewery for a refund but this is kind of over the top and unnecessary. If I drink the beer and enjoy it I feel like I should give Kane my money

Oh my god, in all the BS and reselling that goes on a brewery goes and does something like this. I hope people learn something here and remember to pay it forward. If you take advantage of this and are a reseller or trade them high even though they were essentially free now you're losing at life.

I didn't even get bottles or buy bottles and I want to just throw money at them for doing this.

Lol'ing at all the arguing going on now in the nj trading forums regarding what is an appropriate secondary market price for MB now that refunds have been issued. Honestly all the resellers can get f@#ked for all I care. They are a cancer on the beer scene.

I've wanted one of those growlers forever, think I will be buying one and more beer with my refund. This was above and beyond what they needed to do here.

Wow. I agree that it was not necessary.
Fwiw 1-I too will look to spend more there next time. 2-I hope this cuts down on the crying that goes on when someone gets shut out of a Kane release, I don't know of another place that has tried more to do the right thing. 3-I wonder what other breweries think about this. I feel like I know of a few that might have had better reasons than this to give refunds.

Was unlucky to not have been able to purchase when on sale last week but was happy and lucky enough to be able to trade for a bottle this weekend. Felt if there were extras for sale itd happen this upcoming weekend when I will be out of the country. Now glad I got a trade out of the way as this may not happen anyway.

That being said I opened my bottle not long ago to celebrate my birthday. Knowing the potential issue I had my glass ready, and while the foam certainly rose it by no means "gushed". After the initial pour, no problems at all. Beer tasted amazing, as usual and expected. Detect nothing "off" about the taste of the beer at all.

I must say though, for a beer showing no signs of infection or off flavors, Kane has gone absolutely above and beyond here. I would feel safe to say nobody has anything to worry about regarding their bottles, if mine is any indication. This is one of their biggest and most sought after releases. Im sure they were set to make a pretty penny on this release.

The fact that they are willing to give this all up for the fact that there may be a slight issue, although not affecting the taste of the product, speaks volumes for Kane's value on customer service and complete satisfaction. It makes me proud to have them as one of my local breweries and one that I frequent regularly. They are everything that is right in the craft beer industry. Their handling of this incident has grown my respect for them and makes me want to support them even more!

I was fortunate enough to get through the eventbrite ticketing. Haven't opened any of my bottles yet but, much like everyone else it seems, I am determined to spend the $91.xx on top of what I buy the next time I am there. This goes to show the folks at Kane are way more concerned about their reputation and product than they are about profits. Good work on their part. Totally unnecessary and their generosity should/will be rewarded.

Cool, I'll PM you next time I head up if I remember and a bottle is yours.

EDIT: Not because anything is actually wrong with the bottles. I haven't had any myself yet but going to save a couple for late fall when we're in our new house to have around the firepit. But because I'm happy to share with someone who got shutout, especially after Kane was ridiculously generous enough to refund me for what I'm sure is a completely drinkable beer, so the least we can do is pay it forward
