No variations. 5 of the same bottle. Wonder if this is some foreshadowing for the way the Anniversary bottle/bottles will be handled.

 

Was wondering the same thing. This could just be them testing the waters again to see how it works. Or maybe they didnt want to have 2 massive lines within a week or 2 of each other so this was a way of avoiding that. Time will tell.

I know i am surely in the minority on this, but would anyone else have thought it was cool if they include leap year days in the anniversary count? This way the beers wouldve been 2192,1827, 1461, 1096 ,731 , and 366. Just technicalities and a cool thought in my mind

 

Anniversary bottles never sell out in a day. Often they last a few weeks so I doubt it.

 

Maybe. I think Solitude has proven that the line has shifted to "Kane bottles - ZOMGBBQWTFROFLCOPTER".

 

They already said they have more traffic than they can handle. Cutting allocations would just exacerbate that.

I agree. Just think, in just 359 more years we'll be off an entire year. Maybe a double release in 2376?

 

Not a tech guy but deal with tickets very often...Bots can be reprogrammed for almost any site/lottery from what our IT team as told us in the past.


Also Anniversary are always bba quads or in that neighborhood(sans Fifth), they usually last. i also think there is something to picking up the annoversary bottle on the same day every year for the past few years then enjoying the party as well...

that being said.. all bottles of theirs seem to have a great hype now so who knows.

@glennl - Has a membership/society ever been discussed or mentioned? Similar to Bruery and alike?

 

Yes it's an ongoing discussion. Keep in mind though it may not be the miracle solution that a lot of people seem to think it is. Surely we'll have less memberships available than people who want them, so instead of getting a shot at each bottle release, let's say you get shut out of the membership sale. Then you're potentially shut out of all releases all year? That's bound to upset some people.

I agree, it would create more traffic. Maybe split the release over 2 weekends. Or more pickup time. Although I see the 1800 more people/foot traffic, I also see that as 1800 other opportunities for merch, can sales, growler sales, brewery tasting. Basically more $.

 

of course - no silver bullet to make everyone happy. Plus I am sure it would not be easy to figure out a way to figure out how to select the initial members
