Curious about the canning process. Do these 600 cases represent the first beer ever run through the canning equipment? Might the first bunch of cans have a weird taste that goes away as more beer is run through the equipment, so that case #1 tastes bad, case 25 tastes sort of bad, and case 600 tastes fine? Is there a QC guy that pulls every 500th can or something like that to taste test? And most importantly, if so, how do I get that job?

I thought they bought their own canning line.

That's correct - they did buy a bottling line - I believe Sunday Brunch was the first one off the new machine.

Gone through 3 four-packs with a little help. They tasted fine to us. Can't wait to get more.

My first can doesn't taste quite the same as growlers or draft might usually - I am definitely willing to chalk it up to the beer being green, though. First run, too. Still love me some Kane and will gladly buy it again - to the people saying theirs are drain pours - LMAO. Give em to me instead.

Def thought there was some metallic/sanitizer in my cans as well. Just to chime in.

Was very underwhelmed especially when you compare it to other local(ish) IPA's.

I bought a case as well. It definitely tastes soapy.

Just opened can number 3 out of 2 different packs and they all have the same off flavors. Such a bummer.

my friend bought some and described the same thing - soapy-tasting and sort of flat. really unfortunate. guess i'll stick to growlers.

This stinks, was gonna go this weekend for a couple four packs. Guess I'll wait and see what the report is next time they do a new batch. Also on an unrelated note anyone know if Kane posts their tap list other than facebook. Don't use facebook so I can never access it.

I've had four cans now and they've all been straight band-aid.

Not sure there's a source for regularly posted tap list but on special bottle release days they tend to post a tap list on Instagram.

Head High in cans is interesting. Most here are tasting off. Industry people I follow on Untappd seem to have mostly favorable ratings. Could it be that Kane is running HH through the line regularly enough that cans picked up on Sunday the 11th are tasting different then the first ones available for purchase on Friday the 9th?

I'm hoping to possibly get down this weekend for some cans but might get a 1/6th instead. Anyone know what they retail for at the taproom?

Opened my second can and the sanitizer taste is much more faint. Much tastier this time around.

I got three 4 packs around the 75-100 case sold point and have had zero problems. Thought they were all delicious
