    This is super helpful, thanks (especially on the Joe's hours). I only arrive on Sunday around 11am which could make Chef J tough, but I'll keep that in mind as an option for sure.

    You've got a good list of places, @William_Navidson . Not really certain what else to add that wasn't already said. Waldo Thai is one of the better two Thai places in KC. Consider Baramee Thai up by Oak & Steel too, especially if you're short on time and don't want to drive down to Waldo.

    If you don't want to wait in line at Chef J's (I haven't been there yet, but hear great things), consider Danny Edwards for BBQ too. It's over by Alma Mader. I've only been twice but enjoyed both visits, though, their smokemaster passed away early last year so things may have changed since then...? It seems like their hours are a little limited, so may want to review those on a search engine to verify.

    For the #barleywineislife crowd, Alma Mader Copper Shrine is getting another Black Friday release this year.
