Bourbon Barrel Aged Rodeo Clown?!?!!? What is this sorcery? I wish I would have known about this tap takeover before I made it all the way out of town and now trying to make it back to town seems unlikely.

 

Do you know if they are doing growler fills?

Lots of good beer at Hey Merchant. I always love the place. They are usually on top of staffing for these big events. Though they were seriously under staffed tonight. I think they dropped the ball here. I love all the bartenders there, but they should of had at least three other people behind the bar. No place is perfect, and I hope Kevin reads this. The place is almost always run professionally and efficiently, if not always as fast as people want. Which is a good thing IMO. And since their opening, they have been able to handle big crowds like no other bar I have been to. Though the Karback night has been a mess so far, and will probably get worse. Anyway, still love the bar, nobody can get everything right. Still a hell of a lot better than any special tap night at Petrol that I have been to. Which probably does not say a lot.

I stopped in at Lunch tonight - Cask BBA Hellfighter is prolly the best brew I've ever had in my life, I hope they still have some after I'm off work at Midnight.

 

Has anyone seen any more bottles of BBA Hellfighter on shelves anywhere in Houston/Katy? I missed out.

 

I had to buy one second hand. I think the ship has sailed.

Last place I heard of that had any was the Kroger on Studemont/I-10.

 

Man the tap takeover at the Hay Merch was phenomenal! I really enjoyed trying all of the special brews and talking to the Karbach crew.

I had the cask BBA and man.... That was incredibly special. I should of teared up from its awesomeness but I was on my 5th beer.

The WBA Krunkin was interesting though, it was a bit too fizzy for my taste. The flavors were fighting each other but in some weird way it worked.

Finally the BB Rodeo Clown! MAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! That was boozy goodness! I would def pick a bomber of that if I had the chance!


Weekend Warrior is freaking delicious and a beer i hope becomes part of their core line up! So fresh and tasty!

I wanted to try the BBA Rodeo clown, but couldn't justify the trip in. I've never had a BBA DIPA before. I heard it was good, but not great.

 

The BBA Rodeo Clown was the best of the six beers I had last night. I really hope it makes it's way into the FUN series. It was REALLY good, and I don't even care for regular Rodeo Clown.

I was talking to Jason and Erik from Karbach and they told me that all of their BBA stuff was made with Makers Mark Barrels! Quality Gentlemen, Quality stuff!
