Does anyone know if the FUN series one offs like Divine, or are they going to be a yearly offering?

I was told by a Karbach founder that Bodacious will be back this year. I also heard from my Kroger beer guy that BBA HF will be back. I'd assume they're going to yr x yr it. No exact answer though.

Wow, good to know. At this rate in a few years they'll have a new FUN release every month!

They had some awesome stuff on tap at the brewery tonight. Leon Phelps! Pontificator Smoked Doppelbock with Cognac soaked oak spirals. Excellent. Then one of their test batches, just called west coast DIPA for now. All you hop heads are in for a treat cause this is top notch, and will be released in bombers. Endeavour, Valkyrie, and this should cement the Houston area as a great IPA destination. Coming from someone that is far removed from being a hop head.

Was the West Coast a pine or citrus bomb?

Really well balanced, tropical fruits pop at first, and are the show, then resiny pine in the finish. All that with a great complimenting sweetness in the background. I would have reviewed it already, but I don't know what it is officially called, and want to wait till it is actually released.

Anybody know of any places that migt have BBA Hellfighter sitting around? A friend of mine is going to Houston today and missed out on them completely, so I'm trying to help him locate one if possible. I know it might be a long shot, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Search at Krogers that are outside of beltway 8. Many of them got a case, but don't really serve the clientele that would buy it.

Unfortunately, he's only going to be there tonight. What would you be looking to get in return for it though in case either he or myself would want to take you up on a trade?

Bottle share is being rescheduled. They have a tap takeover at BRC that day. Pretty poor planning on their part.

From what I've read online I might have to give that a try this weekend, Looks good!

I was told the same thing by a few buddies of mine as well. Good to see someone else say something - Folks looked at me like I was crazy on another forum.

Did not hear about bodacious, but have heard BBH will be back as well. My question is, will it be the FUN 003, or are they going to do new labels? I guess a similar question is the FUN series going to be like SA's Dr series where all the releases are different?

You can't. It's a one-off, currently. I haven't heard anything about them making it again, but no reason not too.

Eric Warner was just on Fox 26 during the 5:00 news. Talking about AB-InBev diluting their products to much but still labeling it stronger. Apparently AB is being sued for this. Nothing really ground braking. Though lots of good shots of Weisse Versa being packaged.

I just tried Heavy Machinery at ABW this past friday and it was the 1st Black IPA iv enjoyed. That being said, ill have to give El Hopadillo a try. I also had the pleasure of trying their BA Sputnik, reg Sputnik, and Slo Glo (experimental sour). I felt special.

I bet BA Sputnik was great. Was the mouthfeel still a bit thin?

I like the label.. think it will look cool on cans.... Buffalo Sunset is really good, so this has something to live up to... but I love the coffee in it.

I just had one... This is a weak Trois Pistoles, heavy belgian yeast... not a saison. I did like the spiciness though.
