Opened my roll in the hay tonight. Nothing special at all.. creamy but not enough wine presence. Could have used a longer time in the barrels and maybe would have been really good and worth the price.. Well I guess I will stick the other one in my aging fridge and see what happens unless I trade it.

 

I missed out on this one and I know you said you're in the CL area. If you want to trade your other bottle look at my "gots" and get back with me. I think we both work off NASA so it shouldn't be hard to meet up.

 

Keep an eye on HEB Pasadena on Fairmont. They have not put any out no the shelf yet. With 005 they were a week behind schedule.

 

Damn I was just there on Friday and they had a 005 on the shelf. I left it there, the last 005 I drank tasted whack.

 

Same here. I left 3 bottles of 005 prob. a couple of days before that as well. They didn't have it in as of Saturday so, you are in the clear with that.

 

I was there Saturday and saw the Bodacious tag on the empty shelf and figured that Roll in the Hay had come and gone. It must have actually been #005 based on your observations though.

I have an extra #004 I can trade in the Clear Lake area as well if anyone is still looking.

There were about 6 bottles of the 004 at the HEB on Memorial and Dairy Ashford last night.

They have a similar problem as St. Arnold being with Silver Eagle is that every little grocery store gets some of the limited beers. If they focused on the top accounts and just sold there I bet there would've been enough to get past the original "gotta buy em all" phase.

I always laugh when people post great beer finds at Walgreens. I think the best thing you can get at Walgreens in South Austin is Bud Light Strawbe-rita.
