I heard 2nd hand that Karbach has a coffee and vanilla BBH planned for release this year. This is 2nd hand news from a friend who knows Karbach brewers. So, take it for what it is worth.

    Hearsay! Inadmissible!

but this is beer, so take this as gospel.

Not only is it beer. But also since I read it on the interwebs, it's the truth! On a serious note, I'm hoping it comes to fruition, both sound delicious.

I'm skeptical that these BBH deviants will be released before the year is up. They still have FUN 12 to release this month, and their releases are usually pretty spread out.

No chance they'll be released this year. If they are being made, I'd expect them to be released early spring and summer of next year. This is all speculation and not the gospel. Prost

Won't they release regular BBH before the variants?

Fresh kegs of BBH have started to pop up at tappings around town so I would assume a bottling (if it is happening) is not far off. The variants should follow a couple of months later would be my guess.

As for FUN 12, I am not sure that it will have any bearing on the BBH releases since they are splitting them out as their own line. I am interested to see if there is a new label as well.

I saw someone post a pre-release picture somewhere (Facebook?) of a bottle of regular BBH with the new label, so I assume the next batch is going to be released very soon. I have also seen BBH on tap with the new label also, so I assumed that was the new batch.

Yeah I found the label approval on the TABC site.

I wonder if they are going to put a batch # or a date somewhere on the new bottles.

    That blue stripe is distracting

Agreed. Bad design IMO. Even trying to picture it wrapped around a bottle doesn't work for me.

I like the label design except for the blue stripe. That stripe ruins a clean design.

I don't mind the stripe ONLY if that is what changes with each iteration (if that is where they label it as coffee or vanilla or whatever else). Otherwise is seems unnecessary

They could do it a different way. The white back ground could be a faded darker beige for vanilla and black for coffee and red for cherry, if it's done again. Or, the varients will be released under the FUN label.
