I work at Central Market (in the produce department, not B&W) in Houston and we've got almost 2 cases worth out on the floor with 11 more cases on a cart in the back room. It's retailing at $13.49 like other HEB stores.

 

Dats buriful man.

 

They also pouring samples.

They are releasing Saturday from 12-3. Will have a table out with a few things apparently...

 

well shit, ill be in austin for the game.

 

Rosendo is usually in the store until around 530.... if it's a special release, usually he'll lock it in the cooler in back where no one has access other than him and James (the wine guy).... chances are if you catch rosendo, he'll hook you up, otherwise he usually doesn't leave the good stuff on the floor... except at completely random time.

I'm out of town this weekend, but if I'm thru there and catch him I can probably snag a bottle or 2 (whatever he'll give me) for you if you want it.... i live around the corner, so i'm in there a couple of times a week... didn't stop in and catch him today cause i've got enough for me....

 

i appreciate the offer, but im pretty sure i'll run into a bottle or two somewhere.

no idea what to tell you on that, and can completely agree with everything your saying...

i usually run into Rosendo at least once a week, and if it wasn't for the way he controls releases like this, i'd probably buy a lot more from him... however, good beers in limited quantities means i won't wait for his bottles to be released...

just keep in mind, with him that also means when 3 or 4 months down the road when everyone else is out, and we've all drank 1/2 our stash, he'll break out a case or 2 at a time and sell it.... personally I don't mind free cellaring.... my modified wine fridge is full (with beer and wine) and my cold storage locker ain't free, so I'll take free cellaring where i can get it....

 

so kroger on 11th is releasing saturday?

sounds good to me. i wanted to snag a few more bottles but couldnt until friday.

I just picked up a couple bottles from there and the beer guy said they had plenty and no limit.

 

Gonna be right ouside of Austin tomorrow and was hoping I could find one bottle somewhere. Has anyone seen it at Specs (Brodie Lane location) or any other store/grocery store near that location?

HEB Sugar Land 99 and 59 had some on the shelf. I got 2.
