Nice! Hopefully y'all will get the BBH variants when they roll out...whenever they do. Can't wait to hoard dat vanilla bean
Don't get too hype, like hearing about how scary that scary movie is then getting real let down Rodeo Clown's is a sweet, malty good DIPA but Hopadillo is nothing to rave about...then again on the current Houston IPA scale, its def worth trying to see if you like it. Yet, I do get Hopadillo at every bar, stadium and restaurant that has it over the likes of Sam, SN Torpedo, St A and the likes.
Just my opinion but... we have enough meh beer here in DFW. Why add more? I don't think they'll make it very long here. After the initial "oh shiny new toy" they'll be left to sit on shelves.
Some of you guys are being haters. Karbach is very solid. Are Any od their beers heady or either pliney, no. However they are the best i've had in the southwest. Rodeo clown is a little on the sweet side but still very good and i would never turn it down. Hopadillo was solid. I screwed up and went rodeo clown first so my taste buds were on overload from the imperial ipa. Unfortunatly they didn't have hop delusion tapped. The beer garden and brewery was a cool as environment as well. Plus being from the east coast and not seeing hipsters everywhere was a nice change. If rodeo clown or hopadillo show up in the dallas area you should def support it
@thadream, it is OK. Everyone has their opinion. Many people, including me love Karbach. Weisse Versa is a staple in my fridge, as well as Oktoberfest and Yule Shoot Yule Shoot Your Eye Out when in season. Let alone Hell Fighter, BBA Hellfighter and the FUN variants. Don't get to worked up over this
A few of their releases (and I'm not sure which ones, just guessing) like Hopadillo, Love Street, Weekend Warrior, Weisse Versa have already been here. I don't think they did very well. I tried Hopadillo and was underwhelmed. Once I heard we weren't getting them anymore, I stopped caring.
All of them are great trade extras and you'll be surprised how often you'll hear back, "send more Rodeo Clown" They also can date now (on the bottom) so its easy not to get fooled with outdated hopadillo. Fresh its great
Other than Weisse Versa, which is very good, I am with you 100%. I'll buy the ever loving shit out of WV.
Hop Delusion is going year round... so that is good news for anybody that can get it... and Weisse Versa is great. BBH is also tremendous. I enjoy Weekend Warrior and Love Street Summer just fine. I'm looking forward to trying Staycation soon. Not a huge fan of Rodeo Clown, Hopadillo or Sympathy for the Lager myself. I do like Karbachtoberfest quite a bit and Mother In Lager. So I guess I'm saying some more really good beers are heading to DFW. Choices are good to have.
